The full trio is back!
Eva’s paw is doing so much better, and we really appreciate everyone asking after her. Life with an accident prone Labrador is always fun 😉
Today was a really special day; see poor Molly isn’t usually let off the lead because where she has many years of life experience, she has gone quite deaf bless her, and finds it hard to hear humans when they call her. It can be be a little tricky to manage, but isn’t impossible! So today now I know Molly better we went to a 100% fenced in area of the downs at a time most people and their dogs aren’t usually there, armed with the stinkiest fish4dogs jerky treats and Eva and Millie to help and I’ve never seen her so alive! Her face in the photos just says it all, she ran around like a greyhound and happily came back as soon as the nice stinky food came out.
Letting deaf dogs off lead is only something you can do in a very safe area, the quieter the better, after getting to know them and what motivates them and building a level of trust, but is so worth it when you manage a solid recall just in a slightly different way to how you usually do it.
