This morning’s pack walk was brought to you by rain, mud, and the slow but inevitable destruction of my dry clothes 🌧️🐶😭

The dogs were having an amazing time.

I, however, am now approximately 87% water.

At one point I was so wet that a Labrador looked at me as if to say, “Mate… even I wouldn’t go out in this.” 🤣💦

Meanwhile, the KxK9 gang were absolutely thriving. Running together, playing together, making friends and enjoying all the benefits that come from regular socialisation 🐾💛

Pack walks aren’t just about exercise. They help dogs build confidence, learn social skills, understand boundaries, and become comfortable around different dogs, personalities and environments.

The puppies learn from the older dogs.
The older dogs tolerate the puppies.
And everyone learns that the wettest human in the field is apparently me 😂

Despite the weather, we’ve had a fantastic morning full of wagging tails, muddy paws and happy dogs.

The dogs are flourishing.
The friendships are growing.
My socks may never recover 😭🤣

👇 Be honest… does your dog love the rain, or do they act like water is a personal attack? 😂🐶

This afternoon’s session was brought to you by friendship, socialisation, and whatever on earth Winston and Erik have got going on 🤷🏼‍♂️😭🤣

Those two spent half the afternoon taking turns attempting to mount each other’s heads.

Not each other…

Just each other’s heads.

I’ve stopped trying to understand and simply accepted that dogs are weird 😂🐶

The Two Dougies also joined forces this afternoon, which is never a sentence that ends well.

Curly Doug continued his ongoing campaign of Chuckit ball theft and is now wanted for questioning in several paddocks 👀🎾😏

As funny as these lot are, this is one of the biggest benefits of group walks. Dogs learn social skills, confidence, boundaries, communication and how to interact appropriately with dogs of different ages, breeds and personalities 🐾💛

They make friends, burn energy and learn valuable life skills…

Well, most of them.

Winston and Erik appear to be studying something completely different 😭🤣

Another brilliant afternoon with happy dogs, wagging tails and enough nonsense to keep me entertained for a lifetime.

👇 What’s the weirdest thing your dog is obsessed with? 😂🐶

This morning’s KxK9 gang meeting was brought to you by chaos, comedy, and complete nonsense 🤪🐶💨

Jaffa and Cadi arrived fully convinced they’re stand-up comedians. Unfortunately, nobody understands their jokes, but that hasn’t stopped them trying all morning 😏😂

Meanwhile, Erik and Xena turned up with the combined energy of approximately 100 wild dogs and immediately set about testing the structural integrity of the paddocks at high speed 😭💨

Then there’s the Sausage Squad…

Business as usual.

Keith spent the morning shouting at absolutely everything. Dogs. Leaves. Shadows. A blade of grass dared to wave at him in the wind and he took that personally 🤣🌱🌭

As funny as they all are, mornings like this are exactly why group walks are so beneficial. Dogs learn social skills, build confidence, burn energy, and form genuine friendships with dogs of all shapes, sizes and personalities 🐾💛

The puppies learn from the older dogs.
The older dogs tolerate the puppies.
And Keith shouts at the weather.

It’s a system that’s worked beautifully so far 😂

We’ve had a brilliant morning full of happy dogs, wagging tails, new friendships and just enough chaos to keep me questioning my career choices 😭🤣

Wouldn’t change it for the world 💛🐶

👇 Which member of today’s gang sounds most like your dog? The comedian, the athlete, the mentor… or Keith? 😂

🚨 DOGSHILL PADDOCKS - FUL000/822/25 UPDATE 🚨

The objections are now coming in and, after reading some of the comments on Facebook and the planning portal, I feel it’s finally time to reveal our TRUE plans for Dogshill Paddocks…

Apparently we’re:

🌳 Removing all the trees.
🌿 Removing all the hedges.
🚧 Installing illegal fences.
🏠 Building ourselves a secret countryside mansion.
🐕 Creating chaos with dogs.
🚗 Bringing traffic levels similar to the M56.
🦔 Destroying wildlife.
🐝 Ruining biodiversity.
🌍 Damaging the environment.
😱 Lowering property values.
☢️ Causing the end of rural life as we know it.

Which is remarkable considering the actual plans look like this….

Now, I may not be a planning expert, but I can clearly see:

🌳 New tree planting.
🌳 Woodland shelter belts.
🌳 Additional screening.
🌿 Hundreds of metres of new native hedgerows.
🦋 Wildlife corridors.
🌼 Wildflower meadow planting.
🐝 Biodiversity improvements.
🌱 Sensory planting.
🌳 Infill planting to strengthen existing vegetation.
🌾 Existing grassland being retained.

It’s an interesting environmental strategy we’re apparently pursuing…

“Destroy nature by planting more nature.”

One of my favourite objections is that we’re removing all the trees and hedges.

I would invite anyone making that claim to look closely at the plans because it seems we’ve accidentally filled them with… trees and hedges.

Lots of them.

The other favourite is the legendary Illegal Fence Scandal.

These fences have achieved almost mythical status.

Nobody can quite explain which fences are illegal, why they’re illegal, or what legislation these dangerous criminal fence posts have violated, but they are discussed with the seriousness usually reserved for organised crime investigations.

At this stage I’m expecting Crimewatch to issue an appeal.

We’ve also discovered that living on site is apparently outrageous.

Because obviously the best way to responsibly manage land, dogs, security, maintenance and welfare is to live as far away from it as possible.

Perfect logic.

What really fascinates me is how a proposal that includes:

🌳 More trees
🌿 More hedgerows
🐝 More biodiversity
🦋 More wildlife habitat
🌼 Wildflower meadows
🌾 Retained grassland
👀 Better visual screening

…has somehow become:

🚨 “THE COUNTRYSIDE IS UNDER ATTACK!” 🚨

Honestly, by the time the next objection arrives, I fully expect to learn that the paddocks will disrupt migrating geese, alter weather systems, affect the moon’s orbit, and be personally responsible for the decline of the British hedgehog population.

In all seriousness, not everyone will support the application and that’s absolutely fine.

But please judge it on what’s actually being proposed rather than Facebook folklore, planning portal fan fiction and things someone’s mate’s cousin heard from a dog walker.

The plans are there for everyone to see. Please search FUL000/822/25 on the planning portal.

And unless I’ve suddenly become unable to identify a tree, they appear to contain quite a lot of trees.

Yours sincerely,

🌳 The Tree Removal Team (waiting to plant trees)
🌿 The Hedge Destruction Unit (waiting to plant hedges)

🐾💛 EVERYONE SAY HELLO TO SKYE 💛🐾

This little red fox Labrador joined the KxK9 gang today and wasted absolutely no time making herself at home 😍🐶

One minute she was carefully stepping out of the van like a sensible young lady…

The next she was charging around the paddock with her ears flapping in different postcodes and introducing herself to absolutely everyone 🤣💨

For a puppy, these early experiences are so important. Meeting friendly dogs, building confidence, learning social skills and exploring new environments all help create a happy, well-rounded dog 🐾💛

Of course, Skye thinks she’s simply joined an exclusive club dedicated to zoomies, snacks and questionable life choices 😭😂

Safe to say she fit right in.

We’re looking forward to watching this little superstar grow in confidence, make lots of new friends and become a fully qualified member of the KxK9 chaos crew 🤪🐶

👇 Let’s give Skye a warm KxK9 welcome! 💛🐾

This afternoon, the KxK9 gang very kindly decided to tone the chaos down to around 75% capacity 🤪🐶💨

For most dogs, that would be considered energetic.

For this lot, it’s practically meditation.

There were still zoomies.
There was still nonsense.
But at least nobody achieved low-earth orbit while chasing their friends 😭🤣

A few dogs actually stopped running long enough to think about their life choices, which was a nice change.

I say “think” loosely, of course 😂

The puppies caused mischief.
The older dogs supervised.
And I spent the afternoon maintaining the illusion that I was in control.

As always, happy dogs, wagging tails and plenty of friendships being made 💛🐾

👇 Be honest… if your dog had a battery percentage above its head right now, what would it say? 🤣🔋🐶

🐾💛 EVERYONE WELCOME WINSTON TO THE KxK9 GANG 💛🐾

This handsome young Rottweiler joined us today and it’s safe to say he’s made an impression already 😍🐶

Winston is currently somewhere between “puppy” and “baby horse” and hasn’t quite worked out where all four legs are yet 😭🤣

One minute he’s trotting along nicely…

The next he’s accidentally launched himself in a completely different direction because his feet haven’t received the latest instructions 🤪💨

What he lacks in coordination, he more than makes up for with enthusiasm.

He’s got a huge personality, endless energy, and enough excitement to power Flintshire for the foreseeable future 😂🐾

The best part? Watching young dogs like Winston build confidence, learn social skills, and make new friends is one of the most rewarding parts of the job 💛

Although I may need to invest in steel-toe boots before he discovers just how big he’s going to be 😭🤣

We’re absolutely delighted to welcome Winston to the KxK9 pack and can’t wait to watch him grow into his paws (eventually).

👇 Let’s give Winston a big KxK9 welcome! 💛🐶

This morning’s KxK9 gang came ready to exercise, socialise, make friends… and attempt to take me out 🤪🐶💨

Group walks are brilliant for dogs. They build confidence, improve social skills, learn how to interact appropriately with different personalities, and form genuine friendships along the way 💛🐾

Unfortunately, nobody seems to be teaching them how to behave around me 😭🤣

I’ve had Chuckit balls launched at my head by overenthusiastic Spaniels.

I’ve been completely wiped off my feet by Labradors performing drive-by zoomies.

And at one point, I genuinely considered wearing a crash helmet to work 😂

Meanwhile, the dogs are out here making friends, learning valuable social skills, and having the absolute time of their lives.

I’m just trying to survive until lunchtime 🤣☕️

Watching this gang bond, play together, and get excited to see their mates every day is honestly one of the best parts of the job.

The dogs are thriving.
The friendships are flourishing.
My dignity is hanging on by a thread 😭🐾

👇 Be honest… is your dog the social butterfly, the class clown, or the one most likely to accidentally injure the dog walker? 😂🐶

We somehow dodged the rain during collections and drop-offs… only for the sun to appear and immediately encourage bad behaviour ☀️😂

The dogs saw 3 minutes of sunshine and collectively decided it was time for overtime zoomies 🤪🐶💨

I’ve spent the afternoon watching furry lunatics sprint around the paddock while pretending I still have authority 😭🤣

The dogs are thriving.
My step count is thriving.
My sanity is not.

👇 What sends your dog into instant chaos mode? The word “walkies”? A lead? Opening a packet of ham? 😂🐾

The weather may have cooled down a bit today…

Unfortunately, nobody passed that information on to the dogs 🤪🐶💨

The KxK9 gang came flying into the paddocks like they were late for an important meeting, immediately causing chaos, launching zoomies, and keeping me firmly on my toes 😂

I started the day thinking, “At least I won’t be sweating today.”

Fast forward an hour and I’m questioning my fitness levels while a pack of dogs runs past me for the 47th time looking fresher than when they arrived 😭🤣

Honestly though, seeing this lot running, playing, making friends and living their absolute best lives never gets old 💛🐾

The dogs are thriving.
I’m exhausted.
Everything is exactly as it should be 😆

👇 Be honest… does your dog have two speeds: asleep and absolute chaos? 😂🐶
