🌿 Holiday Notice 🌿

Just a little advance notice that I will be away from 18th June to 23rd June and will be unavailable for dog walking and equine care during this time.

I'd like to thank all of my wonderful clients for your understanding and continued support. I'll be back from the 24th June and look forward to seeing all of my four-legged friends again soon! 🐾🐴

If you need to make any arrangements before I go away, please get in touch.

Thank you,
Sophie x

What a fantastic time the gang had today at Farleigh Forest Enclosed Dog Field! 🐾🌳

There was plenty of space to run, play, sniff, and explore safely off lead, with lots of wagging tails and happy faces all round. It's always lovely to see the dogs enjoying their freedom and building confidence in a secure environment.

Safe to say everyone is heading home happy and ready for a well-earned snooze! 🐶💤

One of the biggest benefits of placeboard training is that it goes far beyond basic obedience.

Today, T***s demonstrated exactly why I spend so much time teaching dogs to confidently stay on a designated spot. During a visit to the vet, he happily hopped onto the weigh scale and remained calm, still, and relaxed while being weighed.

This is a fantastic example of a transferable skill. Dogs who understand how to stay settled on a placeboard learn that the same expectations can apply to many different surfaces and environments. Whether it's a vet scale, grooming table, café mat, or waiting room, that ability to stay calm and stationary makes life much easier for everyone involved.

Training isn't just about teaching commands—it's about building practical skills that help dogs navigate the real world with confidence.

And as T***s proved today, those skills can make vet visits a whole lot more straightforward. 🐾

☀️🐾 Beat the Heat – Field Fun Day 2 🐾☀️

Another successful day at the enclosed field today with a different group of happy pups! 🐶💛

With the warmer weather sticking around, these secure field sessions have been such a fantastic way to keep my regular dogs exercised safely while still giving them the freedom to run, sniff, play, and just be dogs. 🌿🎾

Seeing them enjoy themselves without the worry of overheating on long walks or busy public spaces has been amazing — and the tails haven’t stopped wagging! 🐕✨

Moving forwards, I’ll be hiring a secure field 1 day each week for group walks to help ensure your pups can continue enjoying safe, enriching exercise during the hotter months. Safety and happiness always come first.💕

Thank you for trusting me with your beautiful dogs 🐾

A successful morning before the heat kicked in ☀️🐾

A lovely 1:1 walk with Winnie this morning, sticking to the shady spots along the canal and taking things nice and steady 🩷🌿

Then it was time for Day 1 of the Enclosed Field Club… and safe to say the gang had an amazing time! Lots of zoomies, sniffing, playing and happy faces all round 🐶💨

With the warmer weather here, keeping the dogs safe and comfortable is always the priority — early mornings, shade, water and plenty of breaks 🐾💧

A lovely week spent looking after this gorgeous boy while his mum was away 🐾💛

Even though he had his humans at home keeping him company, I stepped in to take over his walks, exercise routine, and of course the occasional breakfast date ☕🐶 Safe to say we became very good friends by the end of the week!

Every pet is different, which is why I always offer tailored care and flexibility to suit your furry friend’s individual needs, routine, and personality — whether that’s full care, extra walks, feeding visits, or just a little extra company while you’re away.

I absolutely loved spending time with this handsome boy 🥰

❤️

🌞 Beat the heat this week! 🌞

I’ve booked 2 slots at an enclosed field for Wednesday and Thursday morning so the dogs can enjoy a safe, secure run before the day gets too warm. 🐾

If you’d like your dog(s) to jump on one of these slots, please drop me a message to book in! Spaces are limited. 😊

With the hot weather approaching, the wellbeing and safety of all the dogs in my care will always come first ☀️🐾

Over the coming days, I’ll be prioritising earlier morning walks where temperatures are much cooler and safer for the dogs. I’ll also be aiming for woodland walks and shaded areas as much as possible to help keep everyone comfortable.

If you have any preferences regarding walk times, please get in touch as soon as possible so I can organise the schedule accordingly and make sure every dog is cared for safely during the warmer weather. ( I will start at 5am if needed! )

Thank you for your understanding and continued support — keeping your dogs happy, safe and cool is always my priority ❤️

Maisie’s recall journey 🐾

When I first started working with Maisie, the moment that lead came off… she was gone! Typical clever little spaniel brain — fast, independent and always one step ahead.

We’ve been putting in the work by gradually building her confidence and reliability in different environments. From enclosed field sessions, long line work, and lots of repetition, consistency and patience… it’s all starting to pay off.

Today was a huge step forward. By conditioning her to the slip lead and introducing a heeling collar, it gave me the opportunity to unclip her while she still felt connected and secure. From there, I rewarded every natural check-in she offered herself and mixed in the odd recall command — and it all started coming together beautifully.

We’re not fully out of the water yet, but the progress this beautiful little spaniel has made is amazing to see 💛🐶

Training recall isn’t about one magic moment — it’s about building trust, engagement and the desire to stay connected with you, even with freedom.
