A nice mix of both today... 🐴🐶

Horses to start and finish the day, a couple of pop-ins in between, and then it was time to drop Arlo off at his grandparents to continue his holiday while his parents are away. ❤️

Every day looks a little different in this job, and that's exactly why I love it!

Now I'm looking forward to a slightly slower day tomorrow with a trip to the Game Fair. Have a lovely weekend everyone! ☀️

Another wonderful house sit completed! 🐾🏡

I've just spent two lovely nights looking after the gorgeous Mabel and Stanley, and it's been an absolute pleasure. They were fantastic company, and I loved making sure they were happy, comfortable, and well cared for while their owners were away.

My house sitting service gives your pets the comfort of staying in their own home, keeping their usual routine and reducing the stress that can come with being in unfamiliar surroundings. As well as providing plenty of love, attention, walks, feeding, and cuddles, I also keep your home lived-in and secure until you return.

Back to training with Maisie today after a couple of weeks off due to holidays and the hot weather! 🐾

She started off a little distracted, so we focused on loose lead heelwork using changes of speed and direction to regain her engagement. We then moved onto long line recall before heading into the woods, where we continued heelwork and practised sit stays in a highly distracting environment.

A thoroughly productive session that challenged us both. Great work, Maisie! 👏🐶

There are so many reasons people give for not training their dog...

💬 "I'm too old." 💬 "I'm not fit enough." 💬 "My dog is too energetic." 💬 "It's too late." 💬 "I don't have enough time."

Then you see someone who completely shatters every excuse.

Your dog doesn't need a perfect trainer. They just need you to be committed.

One of the best parts of my job is seeing every dog progress on their own unique journey. 🐾

This week has been full of achievements, big and small, and I'm so proud of every single dog I've worked with. While they're all at different stages of their training, they have all shown fantastic commitment and progress.

We've celebrated improvements in: ✨ Recall – choosing to come back despite distractions. ✨ Heel work – building focus and walking calmly alongside their handler. ✨ Automatic sits – developing good manners and offering calm behaviour without being asked.

Training isn't about perfection; it's about building confidence, strengthening communication, and making steady progress together. Every dog learns at their own pace, and this week has been a great reminder that consistency and patience really do pay off.

Well done to all my wonderful dogs. I can't wait to see what next week brings! 🐶❤️

🌿 Holiday Notice 🌿

Just a little advance notice that I will be away from 18th June to 23rd June and will be unavailable for dog walking and equine care during this time.

I'd like to thank all of my wonderful clients for your understanding and continued support. I'll be back from the 24th June and look forward to seeing all of my four-legged friends again soon! 🐾🐴

What a fantastic time the gang had today at Farleigh Forest Enclosed Dog Field! 🐾🌳

There was plenty of space to run, play, sniff, and explore safely off lead, with lots of wagging tails and happy faces all round. It's always lovely to see the dogs enjoying their freedom and building confidence in a secure environment.

Safe to say everyone is heading home happy and ready for a well-earned snooze! 🐶💤

One of the biggest benefits of placeboard training is that it goes far beyond basic obedience.

Today, T***s demonstrated exactly why I spend so much time teaching dogs to confidently stay on a designated spot. During a visit to the vet, he happily hopped onto the weigh scale and remained calm, still, and relaxed while being weighed.

This is a fantastic example of a transferable skill. Dogs who understand how to stay settled on a placeboard learn that the same expectations can apply to many different surfaces and environments. Whether it's a vet scale, grooming table, café mat, or waiting room, that ability to stay calm and stationary makes life much easier for everyone involved.

Training isn't just about teaching commands—it's about building practical skills that help dogs navigate the real world with confidence.

And as T***s proved today, those skills can make vet visits a whole lot more straightforward. 🐾
