Today we held our very first Rabbit Vaccination Clinic in response to the new variant of Rabbit Haemorrhagic Disease type 2 (RHD2) — and it was a fantastic success! 💉🐇

Due to the overwhelming interest, we’re now taking details for those who’d like to attend our next clinic. A date hasn’t been confirmed yet, but if you’d like to join the waiting list, just give us a call!

🐰 Attention Rabbit Owners: Important RHD2 Update 🐰

A new variant of Rabbit Haemorrhagic Disease type 2 (RHD2) has recently been identified in Europe. This strain is highly contagious, often fatal, and can affect rabbits of all ages—sometimes with no warning signs before sudden death. 💔

🛡️ We strongly recommend annual vaccination with the combined Myxomatosis/RHD1/RHD2 vaccine, which offers protection against three serious viral diseases.

However, with this new RHD2 strain, it’s unclear whether current vaccines provide full protection. Research is ongoing.

💉 A new vaccine, licensed specifically for highly virulent RHD2 strains, is now available — and we’re offering it at our special Rabbit Vaccination Day.

It only takes a second for curiosity to turn into tragedy. Cliff edges may look like fun, but they’re no place for off-lead exploring.

👉 Always lead up near cliffs – protect your pet, yourself, and our wildlife.

🚨 In any emergency situation, contact 999 or 112 and ask for the coastguard.
