🚨Customer Update – Important Recall Notice🚨
As many of you may have seen over the weekend, there have been reports about a product recall involving our Beef 80.10.10. We want to reassure all our valued customers that this recall affects only a very small number of batches:
👉 Batch numbers: 040825/BM and 050825/BM
This recall is being carried out as a precautionary measure due to a potential risk of salmonella contamination in the raw beef supplied to us.
At Rhondda Raw, we take safety and quality extremely seriously. Our products are made in a DEFRA-approved facility in the Rhondda, where we follow strict hygiene and production standards. All our ingredients are fit for human consumption, and every batch is tested in line with DEFRA regulations. We also undergo regular unannounced inspections from DEFRA to ensure we continue meeting their rigorous standards.
Unfortunately, despite these safeguards, it appears that one batch of beef supplied to us may have been contaminated before reaching our facility.
We’d like to reassure customers that, aside from the affected batch numbers above, all Rhondda Raw products remain completely safe to feed.
🐶 A note on raw feeding:
Dogs have naturally highly acidic stomachs (with a pH as low as 1–2), which helps them safely digest raw meat and destroy most bacteria, including salmonella. This natural defence is part of why many dogs thrive on raw diets.
If you have purchased one of the affected batches or have any concerns, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with our team for advice or assistance.
Thank you all for your continued trust and support — it means the world to us.
