Wish more people were like this! Yet another reason to love Ricky Gervais!🤍

£2.43 million.

That's how much Ricky Gervais just gave away from his Mortality stand-up tour to 22 animal charities around the world.

Four organisations received £150,000 each. Seventeen got £100,000. The rest went to a charity called Nowzad.

The money came from premium platinum-ticket sales. Fans who paid extra for front-row seats knew the difference would go straight to rescued dogs, cats and wildlife.

Across four tours, Gervais has now donated over £5 million this way.

Could more celebrities do something like this?

UPDATE: The dog has now been reunited with its owner. Thank you all for your support.

Thank you parents for your understanding this morning as we dealt with the dog on playground. She is a lovely dog and although timid very friendly.

Unfortunately due to it being a bank holiday weekend and the dog not being microchipped or the dog warden being able to come and collect her she is still in our care.

Do we have any dog friendly parents who know of somewhere she could be homed for the bank holiday weekend? The vets have said that they cannot take her.
