With temperatures climbing up to 35Β°C today βοΈit is far too hot for dog walking!
Tarmac and pavements heat up fast, and even short walks can cause burnt paws or severe heatstroke.
Please keep your pups safe, cool, and indoors today! πΎβ€οΈ
Early/Late Walk Assistance: If you need help giving your dog a safe run-around outside peak heat hours, Iβm offering early morning and late evening dog walking spots to help burn off that extra energy safely! Message me if you'd like to book a slot. π
π§ Easy Tips to Keep Your Dog Cool Indoors:
Pupsicles & Frozen Treats: Freeze dog-safe snacks (like dog-friendly peanut butter, low-sodium broth, or bananas) inside a Kong or ice cube tray to keep them occupied and cool.
Keep the Air Flowing: Close curtains on sunny windows, turn on fans, or use cooling mats where available πΎ
Cold Water Stations: Keep fresh, cool water accessible in multiple spots around the house (drop a couple of ice cubes in their bowl!)
Damp Towel Trick: Place a cool, damp towel on the floor for them to lay on
Mental Enrichment > Physical Exercise: Swap outdoor walks for indoor brain games! Hide treats around the living room, play sniffing games, or practice gentle trick training πΆ
