The hot weather brings hot pavements!

It’s always best to walk your dog in the early morning or later in the evening when things have started to cool down.

Please be sensible with your dogs in the warmer weather. You might enjoy the heat but they don’t, and as they want to please their human they will keep going til they drop. Remember they have a fur coat and are walking barefoot.

Just want to highlight the importance of walking your dogs in the shade and not playing ball in the heat, especially at the hottest part of the day. You might think it’s a lovely day for a walk but dogs are wearing fur coats and depending on colour breed age and weight some dogs are at higher risk of heatstroke. Please be sensible 🤞🏻
PS dogs will not always lie down if they are too hot and tired, some will keep going until it’s too late. You as the responsible owner need to limit their exercise on hot days.
