What shall we call the fish in the cattery pond? After renovating the pond we bought it some fish and now they need names! What do you think for this one? If we get lots of good ideas I will put it to the vote!

Roadworks in Honey Lane from 10th August

City Fibre are laying fibre optic cable up Honey Lane from 10th August. (Yay no more half a meg from BT up the aged copper wire)

The work crews are aware they need to allow access to the property to customers but they were a bit awkward a few weeks ago when they blocked the end of the lane …. If you encounter any resistance please insist you HAVE to come through and if they still don’t let you please phone the staff on 01329 281415 and they will come and sort it.

😎 we were very busy before this heat wave erecting solar filtering sheets over the roof of the cattery and on sides exposed to direct sunlight. Also we increased the airflow throughout the cattery by flipping back the covers that protect the corridors from harsh winter weather. Cats are extremely sensible in hot weather and love sprawling out on the cool tile floors especially in the path of our powerful fans. Glad to hear reports from the staff today that the cattery was cooler than it had been in the lesser temperatures of the most recent heatwave. ☀️

Jon and James have been doing hard manual labour all week totally renovating the pond in the water garden. Mum would love the end result as do the fish, newts and toad …. Or is it a frog?
