Waffles came in to see Vet Patrick after developing Mammary Fibroadenoma Hyperplasia 🐾🐱

This is a condition where the mammary tissue becomes enlarged due to hormonal stimulation, causing swelling around the mammary glands. It can sometimes appear suddenly and look quite alarming, but with the right treatment many cats recover very well.

The first step in Waffles’ treatment was to spay her, helping to remove the hormonal influence causing the changes. She was incredibly brave throughout her stay and handled everything like a superstar 💙

These trackers can be especially helpful for monitoring puppies as they grow, keeping pets fit, or supporting dogs with mobility or weight-management plans.

Daisy the cat came in for her spay and was an absolute superstar throughout her stay 🐱🐾

Once she was awake and feeling brighter, she made very good work of her post-surgery lunch, which is always something we love to see 💙

Murphy came in to see us for some x-rays under sedation to help investigate his lameness 🐾🐶

He was a very brave boy throughout his visit and handled everything so well 💙

Sedation is often recommended for x-rays as it helps pets stay calm, comfortable, and completely still while the images are taken. This not only reduces stress and anxiety for the patient, but also allows us to obtain clear, accurate images safely - especially when painful areas need to be positioned carefully.

Murphy did brilliantly and enjoyed plenty of fuss from the team while he recovered 🐾
