⭐️ YOUNG VOLUNTEER AWARD 2026 WINNER — BOHDENN ⭐️

We are delighted to announce that our very own Böhdénn has won the ‘Young Volunteer of the Year Award’ at this years CVS Falkirk & District Volunteering Awards 🙌

If any of you have visited us, you may have had the pleasure of meeting our senior cat nanny, Böhdénn. As one of our original team members, volunteering since our opening in April 2024, Böhdenn has continually shown unwavering commitment and devotion through his leadership of café sessions and care of our cats. Böhdénn extends kindness, compassion and a listening ear to each visitor who walks through our doors, going above and beyond to ensure comfort and happiness, particularly for those who need it. Böhdénn has dedicated over 2500 HOURS of his time to our café, often going the extra mile to cover shifts at short notice or by introducing new ideas to the café.

We are incredibly proud to have you as part of our team Böhdénn - each and every one of us would say you’re so deserving of this award and are finally being recognised for all that you continue to achieve.

We are so lucky to watch you continue to grow and flourish into the confident, hard-working young man that you are ❤️

This National Volunteer Week, we'd like to say a heartfelt thank you to all the amazing volunteers who make Kit-Tea Café such a special place.

From welcoming guests and supporting café activities to caring for our beloved cats, your kindness, dedication, and generosity make a difference every single day. Whether you're feeding, cleaning, socialising with the cats, or helping create a warm and friendly atmosphere for our visitors, your contribution is invaluable.

You help ensure our cats are happy and well cared for, while also creating a space where people feel connected, supported, and welcome.
We are incredibly grateful for the time, energy, and compassion you bring to Kit-Tea Café. You truly are the heart of our community, and we couldn't do it without you.

💙 Father's Day at The Kit-Tea Café 💙
Forever Loved – Held By Rose Initiative

This Father's Day, we are opening our doors for a very special event dedicated to families whose lives have been touched by the loss of a child.

We warmly invite bereaved dads and their families to join us for a private, welcoming, and supportive Father's Day gathering.

No matter your child's age, how long ago your loss was, or the circumstances surrounding it, you and your family are welcome here.

We recognise that Father's Day celebrations can often focus on families raising children today, which can leave bereaved fathers feeling overlooked or unsure where they belong. Through our Forever Loved – Held By Rose Initiative, we want to create a safe space where dads can feel acknowledged, supported and celebrated as fathers.

Join us for a gentle animal therapy session with our resident rescue cats, alongside tea, cake, conversation and the opportunity to remember and honour your child in the company of others who understand.

These sessions are fully funded by The Kit-Tea Café and are free to attend.

🔒 Closed to the public – dedicated private sessions
These sessions are designed to offer a peaceful environment where families can reflect, share memories, celebrate the love they hold for their child, and spend time together surrounded by warmth, compassion and understanding.
We are honoured to have a representative from SANDS available throughout the sessions to offer support, guidance and a listening ear should anyone wish to access it.

💙 Because Father's Day belongs to every dad... including those whose children are held in their hearts.
