This International Cat Day feels extra special for us because we can FINALLY say that we are now a registered charity AND we’re preparing for the biggest chapter in our story yet...
🏡 THE NEW KIT-TEA CAFÉ & RESCUE IS COMING TO FALKIRK HIGH STREET! 🐱✨

Our new, much bigger home will allow us to do SOOO much more ....not only rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming cats who desperately need us, but expanding the community side of Kit-Tea too. 💜

We’re planning more animal-assisted wellbeing sessions, community groups, activities to tackle loneliness and isolation, children's sessions, our Silent Book Club, LGBTQ+ Purride group, a sensory room, accessible facilities and LOTS more!

We did it! 🐾✨

After endless hard work, dedication, and patience behind the scenes, we are officially a registered charity! The Kit-Tea Café & Rescue.

This milestone is a huge turning point for us. Securing charity status means we can finally move forward with our new premises and start building out our expanded cat welfare services.

Beyond helping our furry friends, this new space will allow us to roll out new community initiatives aimed at boosting local mental health....bringing people and cats together to support one another.

I couldn't be prouder of our incredible team, who worked tirelessly to make this dream a reality. Watch this space as we get bigger and better, 🐱

We're looking for a little help from our amazing community. 💙

As many of you know, we're working incredibly hard behind the scenes to relocate The Kit-Tea Café to our new home on Falkirk High Street. We've reached the stage where we need to submit our Building Warrant, but we require professional technical drawings as part of the application.

We're wondering if anyone in our community is an architectural technician, architect, building surveyor, or has experience preparing Building Warrant drawings who might be willing to donate their time, offer their services at a reduced cost, or simply point us in the right direction.

Every penny we save on professional fees is another penny that goes directly towards rescuing, rehabilitating and caring for cats, as well as creating a bigger, more accessible community space for everyone.

If you think you can help, or know someone who can, we'd be so grateful if you could send us a private message or tag them in the comments.

Sonny Update! 🐾❤️

We have some wonderful news to share about our handsome boy, Sonny!

After just 24 hours in his forever home, he's already making fantastic progress. He's been eating well, has been using his litter tray (even if his aim isn't quite perfect yet! 😹), and is becoming more confident by the hour.

The biggest milestone of all? He's starting to venture out, explore his new surroundings, and is even letting his new family give him some fuss and cuddles. 🥹

We couldn't be happier for Sonny. Watching our rescue cats settle into loving homes and begin to relax is exactly why we do what we do.

Thank you to his lovely new family for giving Sonny the patience, love and understanding he deserves.

We can't wait to watch his confidence continue to grow. ❤️🏡

Happy life, sweet Sonny! You've truly found your forever home. 🐱💕
