Good evening all.
Someone we know, is looking for some help.
They've come to a very hard decision to rehome their nearly 7 years old, small Jack Russell mix dog.
Sadly, he reacted to their toddler, possibly out of fright, and bit, something he'd never done before. The wee one is absolutely fine however they have come to the decision he would probably be better suited in a home with adults and potentially children, older than 10.
He has had some anxiety issues in the past but is very loving.
He even lives with a cat and has no issues sharing his space with the cat.
He is boisterous with other dogs but mainly because he just wants to play.
And he's anyone's friend for treats!
This isn't a decision they've taken lightly, he's a very well cared for and a much-loved family pet. However, they feel the risk is still there and because toddlers don't have a grasp of personal space, can't be sure that he wouldn't react again.
They have also contacted rehoming centres but wondered if we could reach out to people that we know firstly.
If anyone would like to know anything or know anyone that could help, please send us a message and we can pass it on.
I'll pop some pictures in the comments.
Thanks so much. β€οΈ
