It is with great sadness to announce the passing of our beautiful Wife, Mother and Grandmother, Tracey Glackin. After a 2 year journey with Multiple Myeloma, Tracey passed away on Saturday the 9th of September with her family by her bedside.

The family would like to announce the details for Tracey’s funeral. The service will be held at Falkirk Crematorium on Friday 29 September at 11.30, and we would like to welcome you back to the Grange Manor afterwards.

We are delighted that Suzanne Teed from the Humanist Society Scotland has agreed to conduct the service, being familiar with Hugh and Tracey as they would walk the dogs in Suzanne’s fields close to their caravan, where they spent most weekends.

There will be a webcast which can be accessed at https://www.wesleymedia.co.uk/webcast-view with the PIN 979-5635.

We ask that you do not bring flowers, but any donations would be most welcome to the Dogs Trust, a charity very close to Tracey's heart. Donations can be made online at www.dogstrust.org.uk/support-us or cash donations can be made at the crematorium on the day.

There will be no dress code for the funeral however please feel free to wear a pop of purple – Tracey’s favourite colour - if you wish.

We would also like to thank Kevin Mitchell from Central Funeral Services for his guidance and support.

Just to let everyone know I have now retired from dog grooming due to my illness.

It is with great sadness that I am having to let you all know that I will have to retire from dog grooming because of a serious illness that was the cause of my chronic back pain over the last few months. Although there is no cure for this condition I will be starting a course of treatment going forward & hopefully get some quality of life back. I am in hospital at the moment where they are trying to get the pain under control & then develop a treatment plan where I can get home & continue my treatment as an outpatient.
I would like to thank you all for putting your trust in me over the last 6 years & I will really miss you all & your precious furries.
Love & hugs to you all. ###

I'm so sorry to inform you that I have injured my back & after trying to work through excruciating pain for a while & it becoming steadily worse I have been left with no choice to take some time off to try & let it heal. I will message everyone individually with appointments in the next few weeks to let you know, so sorry for the inconvenience as I hate to let anyone down but I simply cannot continue as I have been. Please try & get booked in elsewhere in the meantime.

🐾 Protect your pets' paws 🐾

Dogs' paws are just as sensitive as human feet meaning they're at risk of suffering serious burns if they walk on a hot surface, just as we would be.

So, what can you do to prevent this?

🔴 Walk your dog when temperatures are lower early in the morning or later in the evening
🔴 Avoid roads and pavements and look for grass verges
🔴 Stick to shaded areas

If you do need to go out you should follow the seven-second rule. Place the back of your hand on the surface and if you can't keep it there comfortably for seven seconds, it's too hot to walk your dog.
