FOUND CAT

This sweet little girl has been found in Edgefield and has been hanging around for several months now. If she is feral born then she has learnt to trust humans as she is happy to come into her finders house.

She isn't chipped or neutered. If she is owned, we'd love to get her back home but proof of ownership would be required.

If you believe she is yours, please message us or contact us by email at [email protected]

It’s so lovely that our last post about the gang of seven kittens has been appreciated by so many of you and its especially pleasing that so many people are wanting to give cats new homes.

However, these kittens are currently with a private fosterer as we were unable to take them in. We have paid for their immediate medical care but until such time as we are able to take them in, they are not legally ours and therefore not ours to rehome.

That said, if you are interested in rehoming a cat or kitten, please do complete one of our rehoming questionnaires. It gets you onto our waiting lists and enables us to match the right cat to the right home.

The link below will take you to our questionnaire

The right cat for the right owner is very important as owning a cat is a 15-20 year commitment and we want everyone involved to be happy. Please answer the following questions to help us to assess which cats may be best for you...

It's this just a perfect picture!
This little gang showed up with their mum in a lady's garden, and she contacted us to see if we could help. We are full at the moment, but that hasn't stopped these little ones being helped. A friend of hers agreed to take in all 8 cats. We've supplied various bits of equipment to try to help, and all 8 are booked in at the vets tomorrow. 1 spay and 7 health checks.
The mum cat already has a home lined up with the lady that called us.
A great start to the week.

So the Friends kittens now have a friend! Little Phoebe was bought in today and is about 7 to 10 days older (ish) and a bit scared. She's had a couple of cuddles from us which she has tolerated well and clearly takes comfort from the others. This was taken about 2 hours after coming in.

We're at that stage with our new kittens, Ross, Rachel, Joey and Monica where they are wanting to explore solids. It's the time when they go from cute fluffy things to dirty food covered creatures that borderline smell. They aren't quite there with the litter training either!!!

After 20 hours of refusing to eat, we finally made progress with this little one. Its too early to say what s*x they both are, but they are stunning kittens.

It's funny how it goes. We have months of nothing, and then the dam bursts. Within 24 hours, we have two litters to deal with. The first lot, now called the Friends kittens, were found in a garden with no sign of mum for the last three days. They are 3 to 4 weeks old and not eating brilliantly at the moment. Apparently their bellies are full of worms leaving no room for food 😱. Hopefully in a few days time they will turn a corner.

The other litter is currently decompressing in the quiet for a day. We'll share photos of them soon. They are a bit older and a bit hissy spitty at the moment.

We're are so fortunate that Tesco Fakenham, Morrisons Fakenham and GJL Animal feeds let us have collection baskets in their shops. We can tell that some people are actually buying food during their shop especially for us, which is so appreciated. 🥰

At this time of year every creature is trying to create new life which means there's more hungry cats and unfortunately more flies 🪰 laying eggs on the wet food we're leaving out.

If you are one of those amazing people buying food for us, could we ask if you would consider buying biscuits for the next few months. We have just sent off our last store of dry food to one of our colony carers but have plenty of wet food at the moment.
