Dot and Missy left today to start their new adventures . It seems so quiet now as my shed is empty . My final piggy , Mouse , has moved into the house. My love of piggies will never end but my days of keeping them in large numbers have had to . It’s sad , but it’s the right decision for me at the moment !

Well, it is most certainly the end of an era as I wind down the guinea pigs due to my increased work commitments . It has been a brilliant experience both to breed and to rescue . Guinea pigs will always remain one of my favourite animals. I’d like to thank everyone who helped in my journey . I’ve met some amazing people who will remain life long friends .

I am sadly having to rehome my guinea pigs . My husband isn’t well and I am doing long hours at work (50+ hours a week ) and it is no longer feasible for me to keep them in larger numbers . I have had an amazing time both breeding and rescuing piggies , but now is the time to seriously reduce my numbers .
I have 4 piggies to rehome straight away . I may have more in the future .
2 are girls aged 3 years and who I recused 18 months ago . The girls are one long hair and one short hair .
The 2 boys are about 15 months old . They are texels .
This is a heartbreaking 💔 decision for me as guinea pigs have been my life for 20 plus years .

👀 4 a 🏡. He’s a beautiful Peru with extra rosettes who came to me a year ago . His coat is beautiful , but sadly he doesn’t like other males and needs to be kept alone . He doesn’t like to be near other piggies and talk to them , but would equally be happy as an only pig . He is 18 months old .
