Perry is now settled into his new home. We’re going to miss this cheeky chappy!

That’s Connemara pony no.2, I feel like a proud mum setting them up slowly and sending them off to their forever homes! Just what every horse deserves🥰

So pleased with how Orla is progressing.

After almost a whole year of hacking and adventures in the trailer, we’ve started to focus on schooling. This pony tries her heart out for me every single ride❤️

There’s so many advantages to leading out youngsters off another sensible horse, although I do find Perry is the calming influence for Cally with larger vehicles😅.

Todays hack was extremely busy on the roads, we experienced:

✅ Bikes
✅ Many many tractors
✅ A barn being built
✅ Dogs barking and chasing us behind a hedge
✅ Bins across the road
✅ Delivery vans flying around blind bends
✅ Police dogs being trained in a nearby field

As per usual, Perry didn’t feel the need to spook at anything! Along with exposing him to the world, leading off a horse also gets him used to the height of a rider and it’s the perfect opportunity to put our voice commands to practice.

10/10 as always Mr P!!⭐️

This incredibly charming chap is ready to show the world what he’s made of!

Peroni is a 3yo, registered Connemara gelding. He’ll finish over 15hh.
Class 1 breeding with fantastic lines, inc grandfather silver shadow. N/N

Perry is a sporty, athletic type that will thrive in any sphere. He has the sweetest nature, already proving he loves to please. An absolute delight to handle, with no vices.

He’s very laidback, I leave him out on his own whilst taking the others out riding. If he’s got hay, nothing is disturbing him! Will live in our out. Fantastic with other horses, dogs, goats and loud toddlers.

So far, nothing has phased him. He’s confidently walking out in hand and has a great understanding of voice commands. Happily wears tack.

Perry is a big Labrador, he will play with you in the field (if encouraged). LOVES a good pamper and will groom you back if given the opportunity. A super cuddly guy that just wants to be everyone’s best friend.

He’s up to date with vaccines, trims, teeth and worming.

A real quality type with all the attributes to go far. Hard to find this kind of pony, unspoiled and ready to be produced your way. Sensible enough for a child/young teen.

I’m in absolutely no hurry and will continue to produce him slowly until he finds the right home.
I am advertising earlier than anticipated as there’s a huge firework display behind our fields at the beginning of November. On the off chance his perfect home is currently looking, I’d be happy for him to start his next chapter now, to save him the stress of being here when the display starts.

This is the first time he’s worn a saddle! Can you tell?🤣😎

I usually start with a roller and build up to a numnah, girth and then saddle… this guy just gives off total cool dude vibes. I thought I’d just pop it on whilst he’s munching hay. He didn’t flinch, I’m unsure if he even realised it was on him! Just like he’d worn it 1000x before, nothing when I took it off either.

We pootled around the yard, watching all the machinery being unloaded from trailers.

Just awesome🫶

After what feels like forever, waiting for the ground to soften, we finally made it out!!

Our last time competing and seeing a xc jump was May 2023🙈.

My jaw hurt from smiling the whole way round, Cally was also in her complete element… can you tell?🤣.

A lovely calm (for Cally) clear in the 80🥰

10 days just chilling in the field for Mr P, straight out for a stroll again today.

He was SO happy to be out and about, I’m pretty sure I could actually see him smiling the whole time!

If I wasn’t already keeping Orla, he wouldn’t be going anywhere🙈.

As per usual, totally unflappable. Today we nailed walk- trot and trot-walk transitions, completely voice controlled with no pressure on the rope at all!

He’s particularly fond of a mid way snack😋

Perry & I are getting the miles under his belt this week, ready for a little break next week, to process what he’s learnt so far.

He now has a great understanding to voice commands, stand (won’t move a hoof until asked), walk on and trot!

We’ve experienced so much on our strolls already, including 3x motorbikes yesterday and pedal bikes today. It’s fair to say he’s fantastic with cars flying at him too, annoyingly this is the norm on our lane😣.

Handling everything like a super cool dude😎.
