Deep in her Pre-lay shed looking like a zombie… but a pretty zombie that is! 🧟‍♀️😍

This species takes a lot longer to go through the shedding process than any other species we have worked with… each shed they have had with us has been around around 3-4 weeks!
We noticed this female starting to go into shed two weeks ago today, the male went into shed around a week before her, he is only now starting to go clear again.

Anyway, here’s hoping it all goes well 😬🤞🏼

Bred by us… grand parents are wild caught from Uruguay.

These are a rear fanged venomous species so not for beginner keepers. They do however have a super docile temperament, but adults do have a super keen feeding response!

She has quite a bit more size on her compared to the male... it doesn't look it in the video, but she is actually close to 4ft.

After 3 witnessed locks, follicle growth has been good & we are now feeling 9 large marble sized follicles in this Royal Tree Snake (Gonyosoma margaritatum), & zero interest from the male in breeding further... so fingers, toes, legs, arms, eyelashes & anything else we can cross that we get a good clutch from this lady 🤞🏼🙏🤞🏼🙏🐍
