‼️ BUSINESS UPDATE 🥹 ‼️
Now that I’ve personally informed all my clients, I’m afraid I’m writing with some news!
After 3 years as a professional dog walker, employment bells have been ringing, for various reasons including now being in a the mortgage trap so needing a stable income, how terrible it is becoming driving around Exeter, climate change & just the general toll of being self employed with no holiday pay etc.
I interviewed for an NHS 111 Operational Manager role last week, and amazingly was offered the job yesterday. Never did I think I’d be able to walk back into such a big job after 3 years out of “the game”, nor get the first job I interviewed for, but here we are!
Not all is lost, though, hopefully! 🙏🏻
I start my new role on Monday 21st September, for the first 4 weeks I will be training Monday - Friday during office hours so for that month will not be doing any dog walking, however after that I’ll be working a shift pattern of 3 days on, 3 days off. Depending on my shift pattern each week, I will be offering a single 1 hour group walk, 2-4 days a week.
I appreciate this will only really suit clients who can be more flexible, and don’t require set days/times each week. BUT my books are still open for current and new clients who would just like more ad hoc walks for their pooches, or holiday cover for when their regular walker is on holiday/sick.
Ps, I will still be grooming! ✂️
Thank you everyone for your continued support as I embark on this new chapter! 🤓 Xx
