A question we’re often asked is, “How do you manage so many dogs in such a large outdoor space?”
The answer is structure, supervision, and understanding each dog’s individual needs. 🐾
Our daycare isn’t just about letting dogs run around. Throughout the day, we carefully manage groups, monitor interactions, provide enrichment, encourage appropriate play, and ensure every dog has opportunities to rest and decompress.
Having acres of secure outdoor space allows dogs to move naturally, make choices, explore, and engage in species-appropriate behaviours without feeling confined or overwhelmed. This helps create our calm atmosphere here at Happy Paws.

Emotional post incoming….. 😭😭💔 Back in January 2021, Luna walked through our doors at just 12 weeks old as the very first Happy Paws puppy. From that very first day, sitting in the doorway of our little hut, she completely stole our hearts.
Over the years, Luna has given us more love, laughter, and joy than we could ever put into words. She has been the queen of lap-dog cuddles, despite not quite fitting on our laps anymore, and nobody — and I mean nobody — has ever bounced on the trampoline quite like Luna. Watching her zoom, leap, and play has been one of the greatest pleasures of our days.
Today, we recreated that very first photo in the doorway of the hut. Looking at the two pictures side by side brought back so many memories and reminded us just how lucky we’ve been to watch her grow from a tiny puppy into the beautiful girl she is today.
As excited as we are for her next adventure, our hearts are breaking knowing she is leaving us. Luna is off to start an incredible new chapter living in the Cayman Islands, and while we know she’ll have the most amazing life, there will be a huge Luna-shaped space here at Happy Paws.
Thank you, Luna, for every cuddle, every happy greeting, every trampoline bounce, and every moment of pure joy you’ve brought us over the last five years. You weren’t just our first puppy — you became part of our family.
A special thank you to your wonderful mum and dad for trusting us with you from the very beginning and for allowing us the privilege of loving you as if you were one of our own. Being part of your journey and watching you grow up has been a gift we will always treasure.
I’ve cried more than enough tears today, and I know I’m not done yet. We are going to miss you more than you’ll ever know.

In a multi-dog environment, we don’t expect perfection — we look for understanding and accountability. Training isn’t about never making mistakes, it’s about how quickly the dog responds when the behaviour is marked.
