💔 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Diego, our beloved capybara, who passed away peacefully in his sleep last night at the grand old age of 11.

Diego was a gentle soul with a big personality, loved by our team and visitors alike 💙

He had a long and happy life here at All Things Wild and will be greatly missed here by his keepers, the team and his Capy family Bala, Florence and Bagel.

Do your part for the Wild…🌳

We are currently in the process of trying to raise £900 to help our conservation partners, Proyecto Zorro Pitoco. This money will be used to fund leaflets and educational sessions in and around the Atlantic Forest area of Argentina. 🇦🇷

Education of the next generation in this area is vital in the fight against poaching and to help inspire a deep connection with the amazing nature and wildlife around them. 🧑‍🏫

Proyecto Zorro Pitoco are working towards a safer future for Bush Dogs, Capybara and other species within the Atlantic Forest, through surveillance of key species using scent dogs, working with farmers and the government, to ensure future preservation of forests and education of the local people. 🐾

There’s been a light dusting of snow overnight, but the paths are clear, and it’s a great day to wrap up warm and enjoy a fun filled day out with us!

Whether you’re exploring the outdoors or spending time in our indoor areas like the Jungle Mayhem soft play, toasty reptile room and the amazing Dino Barn, there’s plenty to see and do 🛝 🦖🐾

To kick of 2025 we are learning all about Reptiles! The session will be running 11am until 12pm and is designed for 8-12 year olds Home Educated children, so this is the perfect opportunity to get your kids invested in the Wild! We try to keep writing to a minimum too, to help everyone feel involved in our sessions.
