Winter might be closing in, but there’s still plenty you can do to keep your garden looking good and your lawn healthy through the colder months. 🍂
Here are 5 simple ways to get your garden winter-ready:
1️⃣ Keep mowing (lightly) – Grass still grows in temperatures above 5°C, so mow occasionally on a high setting, providing the grass isn’t wet.
2️⃣ Rake up fallen leaves – This helps stop moss, lawn disease, rodents and keeps your lawn breathing throughout the colder months.
3️⃣ Protect tender plants – Move pots to sheltered spots or cover vulnerable plants.
4️⃣ Avoid walking on frosty grass – It can crush and damage the blades.
5️⃣ Clear debris and tidy beds – Remove dead growth to reduce pests and diseases over winter.
A little effort now means a greener, healthier start in spring. ☀️
