Hey everyone. I’m currently working on an AI system designed to interpret vaginal cytology slides.
I’m looking to collaborate with vet practices, clinics, and breeders who may be able to provide:
• Cytology slide images & Corresponding progesterone results
• Cytology slide images & Stage/outcome information where available
The biggest challenge with AI systems like this is data volume and quality. To make a system genuinely reliable, we need a very large number of real world examples covering different slide qualities, staining variations, microscope setups, breeds, cycle stages and progesterone levels.
Even imperfect or difficult slides are valuable, because they help train the system to cope with real clinical conditions rather than ideal textbook examples.
With enough high quality data, we believe it’s possible to build a system capable of producing fast, consistent and reliable interpretations to support vets and breeders.
This type of technology is already being used successfully in human medicine for areas such as automated Pap screening, urine cytology and AI-assisted digital pathology.
