Plant based vs. traditional diets; what concerns do you have? 🥬🥒🍖

For we’ve been exploring different topics surrounding veganism and your pets.

In a recent survey we asked pet owners about their concerns about plant-based diets for their pets. We found that top concerns included;

🥬 A plant-based diet may be nutritionally incomplete, unnatural for the animal or even unhealthy.

🥬 It may be an immoral choice.

Overall, vegans appear to be more comfortable with the idea of feeding plant-based diets than other dietary lifestyles, but 2 in 3 would still question how complete the diet is for their pet.

Last week, we asked if you would consider a plant-based diet for your pet, and today we thought we’d share some insight! 🐶🐱

Our recent study surveyed pet owners from all dietary lifestyles, including vegans and vegetarians.​

Here’s what we found…​

🥬 If you are vegan or vegetarian you are more likely to have already considered a plant-based diet for your pet or might do in the future!​

🥒 Vegans are notably more likely to feed their pets a plant-based diet in comparison to vegetarians.​

🥕 A quarter of vegan pet owners have already switched to a plant-based diet for their pet!​

🥦 A further 78% of the vegan pet owners who had not already switched their pet over to a plant based diet would a plant-based diet if a product were available that met their pet’s needs!
