That’s all my petsitting done and just one more dog walk to go before Darcy Digs officially comes to an end 😞

It’s been the most incredible journey and I’m so thankful to all my clients for being a part of it. 🙏 🧡

After cutting back on dog walking just over a year ago and then spectacularly breaking my arm this summer it became time to move on but I’ll forever view this period as the best time of my working life. I feel so privileged to have been trusted by so many and to have been able to get to know and love so many feathered or furry friends.

From the sunny walks with stops to paddle to zoomies in the snow I’ve loved every single walk and the loving cuddles from cats and dogs were the best performance review you could ever ask for 🥰 They have a place in my heart and memories I’ll hold close for a lifetime ###

It feels like a long time since I’ve done something that made me feel so proud of myself! I’m not a runner and I’ll never be a runner but today I really felt like one and the support of all those who have sponsored me and the strangers cheering me along the way ensured I got around the 10km course. Some of today’s walks - lots of sunshine 🙌

This week has been so emotional as I’ve walked some of my gorgeous pups for the last time. Each one of these dogs has become part of my family and I love them dearly. Nothing prepared me for how hard it would be to say goodbye 💔 but it’s been necessary for me to reduce my lunch time walks in order to take on an exciting new adventure.
I’m lucky to still be walking so many of my other dogs with early morning, late afternoon and a single day of lunch time walks, but the pain I feel giving these beauties their last fuss and kisses goodbye has been so hard 😢😢
Thank you to all my fabulous clients for all the kind words in beautiful cards, lovely flowers and enough alcohol to see me all the way to Christmas 😂
