I’m excited to announce our first Woodland Walk of the year! 🎉
Join us on Friday 18th October at 11am for 2 hours of woodland fun exploring a special route I don’t usually take the dogs on — full of new sights, smells and plenty of off-the-beaten-track adventure! 🌿🐶

This is a great chance for the dogs to enjoy something a little different and for me to capture some gorgeous woodland photos along the way 🍁

🌟Important Update – Weekend Walks 🐾🌟

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to give you all a quick update regarding weekend walks. As many of you know, I’ve been working flat out with very little time off – in fact, I haven’t had a proper break since April, when a friend kindly covered for me for a few days. While I absolutely love what I do, the lack of downtime has started to affect my family life, and I’ve realised I need to make some changes.

From now on, I won’t be walking at weekends unless this has been agreed with me in advance. I’ll still be happy to step in for emergencies or if someone is completely stuck, but this won’t be available as a regular option anymore. To make things clearer, I’ll also be removing weekend walks from my booking system – however, I can temporarily turn this back on if we’ve discussed and agreed to weekend cover.

As many of you know from a previous post, I used to walk Lou seven days a week, twice a day. I won’t lie – I am exhausted! I cover miles and miles during the week, and I now need to prioritise giving myself a proper break and spending time with my family.

Thank you all so much for your understanding and continued support – it means the world to me and allows me to keep giving your pups the best care possible during the week 🐶💙

There has been an unexpected shift within the Dorey & co team!

I would like to introduce you all to the newest member of my team!

I sure most of you already know Lou! Lou has been with me pretty much since the start of my dog walking career. I have actually walked Lou, 2 x a day, 7 days a week since the start never having a day off so I could support her elderly owner.

As I’m sure you can appreciate, seeing her lovely owner, twice a day everyday, her owner definitely became more than a client and I helped him in many ways. I enjoyed our chats at the door after dropping Lou home and I was welcomed into the family. We grow very close to the dogs we walk but also build relationships with the owners.

Sadly and very unexpectedly, Lou’s owner passed away. I am deeply saddened by he’s loss and I have cried many tears over the past week. Trying to get my head around the fact I won’t be seeing him again is a big adjustment for me.

The family have asked me if I would take on Lou as my own as none of them are in the position to be able to care for Lou, how could I say no? It’s a huge honour to be asked to have there fathers dog and Lou is just a dream girl to be around with the kindest soul!

So Lou will now be residing with me and you will see her about more often! If you see us about, please feel free to give her some love as she loves nothing more the a big smooch and a cuddle!

Lou was loved so very much by her owner and I know she will be so saddened herself, I’m doing all I can to comfort for. Her owner will be greatly missed but never forgotten 💔

Due to the sad loss of one of our much-loved clients, a 1-hour morning group walk (Monday–Friday) has unexpectedly become available.

This walk is perfect for sociable dogs who enjoy the company of others and benefit from regular weekday exercise.

When another dog walker is off enjoying a well deserved break that means the other dog walker has to step in to make sure her fur babies are also walked, RC Dog walking & small animal services always makes sure my fur babies are looked after when I do eventually take a day off (which I don’t often think my last day off was march!) but now it’s my turn to return the duties! Maisie moo and Bon Bon enjoyed there outing with my crew today 😍
