This right here, this is why we opened our fields.

Back in 2008 we had a dog who just wanted to be left alone, or with her own friends, on walks. I knew back then that there were 1000 of other dogs who just wanted to be safe to enjoy their walks.

Fast forward to 2013 and we found Whitecross Farm. Opened our fields in 2014; and have been helping 1000s of dogs and owners ever since.

Join us at 6pm on Friday evenings for our free Wellbeing Walks. Bring a dog; don't bring a dog :-)

All dogs stay on lead; walk at your own pace. Enjoy the fresh air, being in nature, good company.

We walk in up to 20 acres of fields, with two ponds, 100s of baby trees, and lots of peace and quiet. There is a loo on site, and water for dogs. Please bring a drink / snack if wanted.

We were talking about this on our Wellbeing Walk last night. One of the best experiences of my life; how lucky I was to spend 2 weeks in the beautiful Lake District with incredible dog owners, trainers, tv crew, and my teenage crush Chris Packham 🤣

Lovely message from some of Friday's walkers:

The hose connector to the tap was broken; now replaced with a temporary hose while we sort another coiled hose (they are lighter, so easier to use to wash down your dogs).
We're also aware the tap has been overtightened and goes past its 'Off' position, so we will get that replaced ASAP.

We're always grateful if you make us aware when things aren't working properly. Our number is on your booking email and reminder text, and it is displayed in the car park. Please WhatsApp/text/call with any concerns.

Sometimes our walkers are disappointed that 'all' their dogs do is sniff instead of running around when in our Meadows.

We're not. We deliberately designed things to retain hedges for encouraging sniffing, and have planted 100s of trees that will eventually provide shade, habitat for birds, animals, and insects, and lots more sniffing opportunities.

Sniffing boosts well-being and is to be celebrated. Just like today's Equinox. Embrace the sniff 🐽 🐕

Would have done the other one too, but mice had eaten the string on the replacement straw bales. Will have to wait until next week.
As long as the ground stays dry, the meadows will get their first cut on Monday 24th.
