All the hard work over winter has led to this 💪❄️

After months of dedication to qualify for the National Indoor Driving Championships at Arena UK, today has been all about the final preparations – harnesses cleaned, carriages polished, ponies looking their best, and lorries packed ready to go 🚛✨

An early start tomorrow for Hannah heading off with Smurf, while Matt will be joining later with Hope and Star once he’s finished work.

We want to wish Vicky Nurcombe and Matt Illston-Barsby the very best of luck 🍀 with Hannah supporting them both as their backstep.

From all of us at Langton Farm – we’re proud of you all… enjoy every moment we are behind you all 🐴❤️

Wishing all our wonderful liveries, friends, and followers a lovely Easter filled with sunshine, smiles, and plenty of chocolate! 🍫💛

We’d also like to take a moment to wish our amazing team a very Happy Easter and say a huge thank you for all your hard work and dedication — the yard simply wouldn’t run without you! 🐴💪💕

The yard is starting to feel more like spring every day, and we’re so excited for the lighter evenings, more turnout, and everything the new season brings 🌱🐎

NEW FITNESS INITIATIVE

In a bid to improve rider fitness, our horses will now be taking a new clinic for Langton Farm

Sessions include:
🐴 “Can You Actually Sit That Trot?”
🐴 “Core Strength via Unexpected Spooks”
🐴 “Interval Training: Catching Me in the Field”

Limited spaces available — horses already judging participants.

Anyone wanting to know who we are this week we are giving you an insight to us so let us first introduce our yard and what we’ve worked hard to create over the past 24 years

Langton Farm Stables is a friendly, welcoming equestrian yard where both horses and people are genuinely cared for. Set in the village of Elmesthorpe Leicestershire, it offers a supportive environment for riders of all ages and abilities, from those taking their first steps into the horse world to more experienced riders looking to develop their skills.

🐾 Meet Darcy & Lexi – Our Yard Dog Members 🐾

Every yard needs a solid team behind it… and these two take their roles very seriously 😄

Darcy and Lexi are in charge of:
👀 Alerting us to any “suspicious” activity (especially unknown visitors!)
🐴 Making sure the horses are exactly where they should be (or at least supervising closely!)
🥕 And most importantly… locating all available carrots

Honestly, the way they manage to find carrots when no one is watching is like something straight out of Oliver Twist… “Please sir, can I have some more?” 🤭

We’re still not sure how they do it… but no carrot is ever truly safe!

Life at the yard wouldn’t be the same without them 💖

That’s it equestrians it’s finally croc season the wellies are off and the crocs are on. Molly Lee is very happy about this and we even featured Darcy in the making of this video 💖

First day without rugs for some of our horses and grading the arena in a t-shirt. We’ve got this better days are coming 🙌
