Small dog and puppy specialists offering: reward-based training in person and via video; educational We have your dog's happiness at heart.

We have trained and cared for all sizes of dogs for around 10 years via fostering, assisting with rescue dogs, caring for dogs in our home and advising owners with their dogs' problems. Sharing our home and supporting different breeds with very varied social experiences motivated us to study dog behaviour, welfare and training, and gave us a deep understanding of dogs, dog communication styles and

how to manage issues and reduce stress on dogs and owners. Our methods are humane, force-free, and the care we give is based on trust and cooperation. We can:
- help you to understand your dog better
- explore short-term solutions which will work for your unique situation
- suggest longer-term strategies to suit your time, energy and budget
- coach you in how to communicate better with your dog to enhance your relationship
- increase the enjoyment and happiness which you and your dog experience each day

We work online via video conferencing and educational presentations. In Edinburgh EH15 we work in person, offering reward-based training and training walks for dogs of all sizes. We also offer Edinburgh based bespoke boarding and daycare for small dogs, pups and oldies. We continue to study dog behaviour to keep abreast of the best practices and scientific evidence. Certificates include : dog daycare and boarding, pet first aid, animal behaviour and welfare, puppy care, canine body language, PVG certificates for working with vulnerable groups.

A very Merry Christmas from Damien, Kirsteen and all the wee pooches at Small Dog Solutions! We hope you all have a bright and hopeful Christmas. Thank you for all the generous gifts!

It's not been an easy year for some of Damien's regular clients, as some of the beautiful wee regular doggies passed away this year, and some of the owners have faced health challenges and other issues. We'd just like to extend our sympathies again, and express our wish that the coming year will be a happier one. The little pets who bring us so much joy are gone, but never forgotten.
Our home is filled with love at Christmas time, and today's no exception. The doggies have had their walk at Figgate Park already and the house is full of peace, snoozy fluffballs and some pitter-pattering paws.

Wishing you all the best for this Christmas season, and fresh hope for the coming year.

If you're able to spare some cash for a donation, please consider this little refuge in Romania, which takes injured and old dogs into their care. They need money for ongoing costs such as land rent and vet bills, plus food for the dogs.

WIN A BEAUTIFUL PAINTING OF A BELOVED PET OR PERSON.
Wendy's Woofers is running a raffle to raise funds to support abandoned dogs, including small dog refuges in Romania which have sometimes saved some of our beloved ex-foster dogs. These dog portraits are beautiful and true to life!
Wendy says: "Tracy McIntosh does paintings from photos and loves doing pets (she can do portraits of people too) she did this one for me of my beloved baby Bobbie whom I lost earlier this year.
We are running a raffle £5 an entry, and the winner gets a painting worth £100.
Tracy has done a number of paintings of dogs over the last year, and this is a super prize. I will draw the winner on Sunday 21st January and we will not have numbers- names will simply go in a ‘hat’ so if you buy one ticket your name goes in once, two tickets your name is on twice etc….
