Welcome to Scotland for these five lucky cats! 😻 After their vet checks and lots and lots (and we mean, lots) of playtime and cuddles, they went off to their new homes in Scotland 🐾 These cats have had a pretty rough start to life, but thanks to their new homes here in Scotland they'll never feel cold, hungry or alone ever again πŸ₯Ή

🐢"Excuse me guys... I think I have been here before, can you tell me where I am flying to now?"
πŸ‘¨β€πŸ’»"Hmmm let's see... looks like you are booked to fly to Brazil today"
🐢 "Oh WOW I'm going to BRAZIL??? How exciting 😍!!"

This international superstar travelled to Scotland a few years ago, and it was now time for him to explore a different part of the world. Here's what his owner said about Sake's journey: "Extrordinair provided exceptional service and support for Sake's trip from Edinburgh to Brasilia. From attention to all the documentation to constant updates on his flights and condition, with photos and comments. Cannot but highly recommend Extrordinair, highly befitting their company name."

Funster here was not impressed with the very early start to his journey, and we would also agree that 5am is not a time for cats and humans alike to be awake 😴 But this adorable guy had a flight to catch from Edinburgh to Astana, Kazakhstan πŸ‡°πŸ‡Ώ We often get asked how much notice we need to organise a flight - and the more notice is always better, but we know that this isn't always possible. Fortunately, we do love the occasional last-minute move and Funster's flights were organised just 3.5 days before travel! 😻✈

Moving with pets to Kazakhstan is not as straightforward as it seems, as the UK export requirements don't exactly match the Kazakhstan import requirements - which is why it is always best to speak to an experienced pet travel agent like ourselves to help navigate any confusing requirements!

β—πŸΎ Important Update for those travelling to the EU with EU-issued Pet Passports πŸΎβ—

Effective from the 22nd of April, EU Pet Passports issue to or held by a pet owner resident in the UK are no longer considered a valid travel document. EU Pet Passports may only be issued to owners whose main residence is in the EU - meaning that for "frequent fliers" who are not considered resident in the EU will need to get an Animal Health Certificate from the vet each time they travel to the EU. The Animal Health Certificate is valid for re-entry to GB for up to 4 months after the issue date, or alternatively you can still use an EU Pet Passport to travel back to the UK.

There are no changes for pets travelling on EU Pet Passports into the UK, this only applies for those travelling to the EU. Although we are also very hopeful that they will start issuing GB Pet Passports again soon, there is no update on when this will happen yet.

Ohhhh Amber... this sweet girl's journey didn't exactly go to plan, but we're very happy that she has made it to New Zealand! πŸ‡³πŸ‡Ώ Amber was due to travel last month when suddenly disruptions in the middle east meant that no flights were taking pets like Amber, as she is "snub-nosed" and lots of airlines will not accept her breed!

With New Zealand requiring lots of tests for pets in really strict timelines, delays are far from ideal as it could possibly mean that her entire journey would be delayed by at least a month if we needed to re-do some of her tests - but thankfully we managed to get Amber on a flight with Air Canada, only 5 days after her original planned date, on the second to last flight of the season to Auckland 🀯 But as you can see she has safely made it to New Zealand, passed her quarantine, and is enjoying life out there!
