Our Story

We are a licensed, vet checked and insured service offering bespoke home dog boarding for small (mostly Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and small dogs like them) dogs located in the peaceful Esk Valley near Lasswade on the outskirts of Edinburgh. We are also certified emergency canine first aiders!

Cheryl, Harry and baby Sam Loney (and resident dogs Sprocket and Indiana) can give your little dog all the love and attention needed whilst you are away. We both work from home full-time (Cheryl works with dogs professionally as a dog photographer and Harry is a freelance writer) and aim to keep your dog’s diet and routine as close to the one they are used to with you, including attention to special diets and medication.

Every dog we board has always had a sleepover prior to being booked in for their big stay to check that they are happy here and that our resident dogs are happy too. We are very fortunate to have regular boarders whom we know very well, we love them and they are treated as family. The dogs tend to be happiest sleeping in the living room (unless they prefer their own space and are crate trained) cuddled up together. Enriching sensory walks are a priority for us, and we are completely spoiled in the stunning valley where we live, meaning that we are on an adventure as soon as we step out the door.
