Scottish SPCA Issues Appeal for Blanket Donations at Edinburgh Centre
The Scottish SPCA’s Edinburgh Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre has issued an appeal for donations of blankets as supplies run low.
While the centre currently has plenty of towels, sheets and knitted blankets, staff say they are in particular need of large, fluffy blankets used to line dog beds and keep animals warm and comfortable.
Duvets and pillows cannot be accepted, as the filling can be harmful if ingested by animals.
Donations can be dropped off daily between 11am and 4pm at the centre’s reception, located at Mansfield Road, Balerno, EH14 7JU.
The charity expressed gratitude for the ongoing generosity of the public, noting that previous appeals have always been met with overwhelming support.
