Lennie has been our very first Jack Russell Terrier at Barking Mad Edinburgh. It was great getting to know the breed and it was fantastic to come across such a delightful dog. He’s so smart and loving and very obedient and eager to please. We’re looking forward to seeing again on his next holiday.

This is Evie on our recent holiday. She’s a Cockalier and many people look puzzled when we say that. She is a mix of a Cocker Spaniel and King Charles Cavalier Spaniel. Makes sense now? She’s a gorgeous dog and very loving we’re looking forward to seeing her again in October.

The Kennel Club has just shared the Top 20 Pedigree breeds in the U.K. Is your dog there? Have they missed your favourite breed? We’re disappointed no Shetland Sheepdogs! But we know from walking them that we frequently hear people say “ we never see shelties anymore”. And if you’ve tried to get a pup it’s like looking for hen’s teeth! Many established breeders have retired over the years and have not been replaced.

We had a visitor at one of our host’s home this morning so cute! I think because we have Shetland Sheepdogs I’m used to that style of face and coat colour please don’t tell my breeder friends I just said that!

We’ve never had a cat feature on a pic here before so this is a first! This is Rosie with hosts Lorraine and Adam’s cat Alvin. They got on famously and as ever Rosie loved being with Lorraine and Adam. We can’t wait to see her again later in the year.

It was lovely having Coco for her big holiday recently and to look after her in our own home. Coco is an older lady now but still with the spirit and energy of a youngster. She is such a happy and contented dog with a fascination for playing with dried up leaves it’s one of her favourite games. It was a pleasure to take care of her she is welcome back anytime!
