On behalf of a client currently attending training with me, I’m looking for a playmate for her friendly but rather shy 8-month old cockapoo who weighs 5-6 kgs. If anyone has a puppy of a similar size and would be interested in a play/socialising session, please get in touch with me, Claire on 07818 070672 or at [email protected]. The sessions are for 30 minutes, held in my indoor barn in Marlpit Hill and cost is £5 per puppy.

Hi, it’s Claire from Simple Skills K-9 training. If you’re about to take on a new puppy, did you know research has shown that the age 4-16 weeks is a crucial period for puppies to learn how to socialise? That doesn’t just mean playing with other puppies but more importantly it’s about exposing them to the sights and sounds of the world around them. Training can also begin during this period before vaccinations are completed with short home visits as puppies soak up information like a sponge at this age and training builds the bond between you and your pup.
