Cookies - Long Haired (almost 2yrs old)
Jaffa Cake - Short Haired (5 months old)

3ft x 4ft enclosure required as a minimum. We can help with this if required.

Absolute characters! Always popcorning around the enclosure & making me laugh. Cookies is fairly well handled & will eat from your hand. Jaffa Cake is still in training but will take food from your hand 90% of the time now ❤️

Hi 👋

My name is Fletcher! I was rescued when I was just a tiny baby & stayed at FurryTales rescue ever since 🥺

I’m approaching 5 months old now & I think it’s time to move on. I’m pretty shy but friendly & sociable in the early hours of the morning.

I’m living with my foster carer in Huddersfield at the moment but if you feel you could give me my forever home please ask for an application form ❤️

Meet Forest!

He’s a Male Syrian Hamster looking for his forever home.

Forest has a mysterious lack of toes with quite a few missing! It doesn’t seem to affect him with his mobility or ability to navigate his surroundings. He does however sometimes drop the food he’s holding which melts my heart!

He’s just over a year old and he has plenty of love to give. He was a little nervous when we rescued him but he’s happy to take food from our hands and be handled every now and again. He loves exploring and spends a long time everyday out of his burrows. As long as the environment is quiet, he’s really sociable!

He really loves it when I chat to him on a night. He stops what he’s doing as if he’s listening to what I’m saying 😍

He lives in a Pawhut enclosure currently & has previously lived in a Savic Plaza quite happily.

Well tiny baby Fletcher isn't such a tiny baby anymore! He's roughly 8 weeks old now and is the same size as my adult dwarf! So it's time to start looking for his forever home

As everyone who has seen his story will know, he had a very difficult start to life and because of that he needs a patient and experienced owner. He is fine being handled once out of the cage but he's still very nervous in the cage and it will take time and patience to get him sued to coming to you.

He is a little unsure of the world around him and find playpen time a little scary however this is something his new owner will need to work on as he's a chunky boy and will need plenty of exercise. Because he was taken from his mum and siblings very young he's still figuring out how to act like a hamster but he's now figured out how to use his wheel and has been on it a new times. He definitely knows how to use his sand though and loves his giant sand bath

He is currently in a savic plaza and he can come with his cage and everything in it for an additional donation towards the cost of it all.

He is currently living in Bangor, north wales however his foster mum travels at least once a month to widnes so adoption from there is also a possibility

Back in thr game again - in the Manchester branch with Charlotte.

Today this beautiful 9-10 month old male Syrian was surrendered to the rescue.

Let me introduce to you all the super cute Stitch.

He's been exploring his new enclosure since arriving at the rescue.
Stitch lived in a large pawhut style enclosure with his previous owners so we felt it only right he had the same here with us in the rescue 😍

Fletcher is now 5-6 weeks old and will have been with us for 2 weeks tomorrow. He is now a 28g! Which is a huge improvem...

Fletcher is now 5-6 weeks old and will have been with us for 2 weeks tomorrow. He is now a 28g! Which is a huge improvement considering he was only 10grams when he arrived. He is a really healthy weight now and is no longer in a hospital cage. Health wise he has recovered really well but he is understandably very nervous after his awful start to life and he still needs time to learn to trust people before we will start looking for a new home for him. He will definitely need a very special home when he is ready 💗

Some more Fletcher cuteness to brighten your day ☀️

He is weighing in at 14 grams today and is still eating really well! He is building impressive little burrows now and he loves his sand bath. Hopefully not too much longer and he can move from his hospital tank to his new enclosure! Here he is having his first little nibble of cheese and he was definitely a fan!

Baby Fletcher update 🐹💗

What a difference a day has made! On the left you can see him this afternoon and on the right was yesterday. You can see the visible difference in his body shape jist from now having a full tummy, his whole back end was so sunken in yesterday 😢

He is eating really well and very often! I've not seen him drink but I know he definitely is drinking because he has done 2 big wees on my hand last night and this morning 😂
He's weighing in at 12 grams today which is 2g more than yesterday. It is probably mostly just having food in his little tummy now but still a step in the right direction!

He is definitely a fighter and he still has a whole lot of fight in him 💗

*disclaimer - the food in the picture is not his actual diet, we just had a 3 hour drive home with him and coukd see he was starving so went to the nearest place that sold hanster food and got what we could so he could eat straight away*

Today involved a 6 hour round trip to get one of the worst rescue cases I've seen 😔 Fletcher is around 3 weeks old and was sold a week ago. His new owners were very misinformed and whilst they meant no intentional harm, they filled his bowl with bathing dust thinking it was hamster food. Since then he has likely survived by nibbling on the hay in his cage 😢 at only 10grams he is very underweight but he is now safe in one of our foster homes where he will be rehabilitated and given all the love in the world

Please not we are not currently taking any adoption enquires for Fletcher, he has a long way to go before he will be healthy again

We rescued him yesterday! He’s very friendly indeed.

He’s got a few toes missing for unknown reasons but it doesn’t seem to stop him doing normal hammy things ❤️
