Exciting Opportunity – Immediate Start Available!

📍Location: Rosie’s Retreat, Foxborough Hill, Woodnesborough, Sandwich, CT13 0NY

🕒Hours: MIN 16hrs per week can discuss to suit… MUST BE FLEXIBLE WILL INCLUDE WEEKENDS AND BANK HOLIDAYS

📅Open: 365 days a year, 7:00AM – 6:30PM


Rosie’s Retreat is a luxury day boarding and overnight facility for dogs, and we’re looking for an enthusiastic, skilled individual to join our small, friendly team.
If you have experience in animal care, are confident handling dogs of all sizes, and understand welfare and behaviour, we’d love to hear from you!

Main Duties:
• Feeding and caring for dogs according to our facility guidelines
• Gentle and professional dog handling
• Observing and reporting behavioural changes
• Working well in a team to create a positive work environment
• Cleaning kennels and equipment to the highest standard
• Exercising and socialising dogs safely
• Carrying out health checks and administering medication if needed
• Grooming tasks like washing and brushing dogs
• Maintaining accurate records
• Interacting with clients in a friendly, professional manner
• Completing additional tasks and following special care instructions

About You:
• Reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently or in a team
• Experience in a kennel or animal care setting (qualification an advantage but not essential)
• Confident handling dogs of all breeds and sizes
• Physically fit for an active role
• Positive attitude and strong attention to detail
• Comfortable working with people as well as dogs
• Willing to take on a range of tasks
• Full UK driving licence preferred, or reliable transport confirmed due to our location

Our New Amazing Assistant Manager

Hi, I’m Aaron –
I am really excited to be the newest member of the team here at Rosie’s Retreat. As Assistant Manager, I am focused on maintaining and driving the highest standards of care and welfare for all the dogs who spend time with us and ensuring a luxury experience! I hold a Level 3 qualification in Professional Day Care and Boarding, as well as a Level 3 certification from the IMDT in Learning, Motivation, and Reinforcement.
Before joining Rosie’s, I spent several years fostering and rehabilitating dogs, which gave me valuable experience in understanding different behaviours and building trust with dogs of all backgrounds. I have trained a wide range of dogs over the years and love seeing the progress they make with patience, positive reinforcement, and consistency.
At home, I have a bouncy Cocker Spaniel puppy named Paddy who keeps me busy and entertained- he is full of energy and always up for an adventure! I am passionate about creating a safe, enriching environment where every dog can thrive, and I am looking forward to getting to know all our regulars (and their humans) better.
