That moment.

The lip drops. The eye softens. They turn their head slowly and just… look at you.

No words. No explanation needed.

This is the moment I work for. Not the booking, not the technique — this. The moment an animal decides you’re safe. That what you’re doing feels good. That they trust you enough to let go completely.

Every horse I work with is somebody’s everything. Getting to be the person they lean into — literally and figuratively — is something I’ll never stop being grateful for.

“Your horse’s posture is talking. Here’s how to read it.”

Before I touch a single muscle, I watch. 👀🐴

A horse’s posture tells me almost everything I need to know before a session even begins. Here’s what I look for:

Head carriage — low and tense can mean poll or neck restriction
Hindquarter shift — resting one hind more than the other repeatedly can signal imbalance
Dropped back — a dipped topline often means long-standing back muscle tension
Weight distribution — a horse constantly shifting weight is often uncomfortable standing still

None of these alone means something is wrong. But together, they paint a picture.
