Molly Moo's Dog Grooming

Molly Moo's Dog Grooming ** 25% OFF FIRST GROOM **

My name is Nina I am City and Guilds level 2 qualified and provide an individual service for all dogs on a one to one basis.

Every dog is an individual and the groom will be done according to the owner's wishes and the dogs individual needs. I am fully insured and provide a collection and drop off service at an extra cost. Services I provide:
* Nail clipping
* Ear cleaning
* Foot/Face Trim
* Bath and Brush
* Full groom
* Puppy Familiarisation
* Pick up & drop off service

Upon meeting, I will discuss

your overall requirements as well as your pets general health and well-being. A 5 point health check is always carried out prior to grooming, and if I have any concerns I will contact you before commencing. Your pet will be left in my care, until ready for collection. After a brief getting to know each other, the groom will proceed as detailed below:

Brief check of coat condition and general health - checking for any fleas, ticks etc. Cleaning of ears and eyes
Trimming of nails
Brush and de-matting of the dogs coat
Bath in appropriate shampoo
Blow-dry
Styling as requested

I use the shampoo 'For All Dogkind' These shampoos are 97% natural and are free from any chemicals including sulphates, parabens and petrochemicals and are made with 100% pure essential oils. I will use one of four shampoos in this range depending on the needs of your dogs skin and coat. Please bear in mind that if your dog has not been groomed for some time, the procedure will take longer, but every care is made to make the visit as stress- free as possible. If your dog is severely matted an extra charge will apply due to the groom taking longer, I will always contact you during the groom to inform you of this. Also if fleas are found a cost of £5 will be added to the groom for the specialist flea shampoo and the added cost of the extra cleaning required within the grooming room. Once again I will always contact you first. Records are kept after each grooming session and any health problems or behavioral concerns will be relayed to you the owner, upon collection. Honest feedback with regards to how your dog coped with the experience will always be communicated back to you. My priority first and foremost is always the well-being of your dog. I always insure that plenty of comfort breaks are taken and there will be a treat at the end for good behaviour! If for any reason your dog is not coping with the groom, the groom will be stopped and I will contact you to discuss any alternative options. As I provide a one-to-one service to my clients, appointments are allocated strictly by prior arrangement. I will be considerate and mindful of your time and all I ask is that you allow me the same privilege. Should you need to cancel your pets appointment, please phone or message me as soon as possible (preferably 24 hrs notice) so that I can offer this appointment to another client. Puppy Familiarisation:
Ideally this should be when they are around 12 weeks old. I bath and bush your puppy, and clip their nails if required, I offer this service at a reduced rate as these are shorter and gentler sessions which introduce the puppy to the grooming environment, equipment used and help the puppy to develop a bond of trust with someone new. Lots of fuss and cuddles are my priority! Prices depend on the breed of dog. Prices vary due to breed/size and the dogs coat condition. Please message for prices. Bath & Brush from £15, Full Grooms from £30, Nails £5. Please call or message me to arrange an appointment or to ask any questions.

This is an X-ray of a 2 week old puppy, it really shows how far the bones 🦴 have to grow before they become a proper joint! 😮

🐶 Puppy exercise is sooo important as young dogs undergo significant physical changes.

🐶 Most growth takes place between the ages of 4 to 8 months however, in some large/giant dog breeds the growth plates may remain open up to 18-20 months!

🐶 There is no question that puppies LOVE to exercise & we want nothing more than to make them happy BUT puppy exercise limits MUST be applied to prevent damage to the puppy’s developing skeletal 🦴 system.

So here’s a guide to help; ⬇️

🐶 Over-training, such as long-distance running, is unhealthy for young dogs and the benefits are minimal. Some dogs are driven to exercise and, as owners, we feel we are doing them a service by giving them what they want...
So... what is enough?🤔

Appropriate Puppy Exercise 0-6mths

🐾 Walking – slow, short walks up to 30 mins, with plenty of opportunities for your puppy to stop & sniff sniff sniff

🐾Formal skills training – sit, stay, down, touch – no more than 2 mins per session.

🐾Free play – no more than 10 mins; discourage rough play, such as body slamming.

🐾 Chasing objects – roll balls and drag toys along the ground. Avoid repetitive ball throwing & chasing.

🐾Tugging – do not pull against the dog – hold the toy and let the puppy pull against you; keep the toy low, to maintain the puppy’s neck in a straight line with its back.

🐾Avoid – direct running 👎 , jumping, indoor/outdoor stairs, fast turns, sudden stops like chasing a ball! 🎾

🐾Young puppies, up to six months, should not be exercised with the intent to increase strength or endurance. These puppies should be allowed to play naturally, i.e. self-directed play.

🐾 Jumping is often encouraged, with little understanding of the damage it can cause a young pup. Do not allow your puppy up on high objects without good supervision and assist them when getting down.

We hope you share this with all your friends, students & puppy owners - Let’s spread the word and make positive changes 👍🏼👍🏼

https://news.wisc.edu/schultz-dog-vaccines-may-not-be-necessary/
Please think about titer testing your dogs to avoid the possible complications of yearly vaccinations. It’s been proven that they can last for years, and do not require them yearly. Resulting in devastating outcomes 😢

Schultz: Dog vaccines may not be necessary March 14, 2003 Once a year, Ronald Schultz checks the antibody levels in his dogs’ blood. Why? He says for proof that most annual vaccines are unnecessary. Schultz, professor and chair of pathobiological sciences at School of Veterinary Medicine, has been...
