That Norris Cavy Stud "Nyra" our 5/8 Chocolate Roan Sow Went best Marked and Ticked at the Isle Wight Cavy Club show yesterday.

Now here’s a funny little story about “Nyra”…

She wasn’t supposed to be at the show at all! It was meant to be her lovely litter sister, Sophia, who’d been prepped, bathed, and all set for her next big outing. Sophia’s been to a few shows already and is an absolute pleasure to work with.

But after a very early 4am start, we arrived at the show, opened the box — and surprise! It was Nyra sitting there, looking very pleased with herself and ready for a day out.

Both girls are similar enough that in the sleepy chaos of the morning, the wrong sister got packed — and Nyra clearly had no complaints! Luckily, she didn’t need any extra prep and took it all in her stride like a pro.

Moral of the story? Always double-check your pigs before boxing up at silly o’clock in the morning! 😂

Meet one of our newest little fluff's! This adorable baby Tweed Dalmation Pup is all snuggled up with mum, staying warm and cozy. Look at that tiny face! We can’t wait to watch this little one grow.

Here's our Chocolate Roan sow "Paris" at the Solent/Wessex show after winning "Best Roan" in the Dalmation and Roan stock show.

Today was an exhilarating adventure at The Epsom Cavy show for our first show of 2024, where our small team, consisting of three 5/8 Self Chocolate sows and an U5 Self Chocolate boar, not only secured 1st and 2nd AC AA self but also clinched 2nd place in 5/8 AV, and Reserve Best in Show!
