Cooperative Care is about building understanding, trust, and choice around everyday handling and husbandry.

Dogs are gently taught what is happening, how to communicate, and how to take part in their own care in a way that feels safe and predictable to them.

In our weekly Cooperative Care classes, dogs learn practical, confidence-building skills for things like:
• Nail trims
• Ear checks
• Tooth brushing
• Grooming routines
• Vet-style handling

These classes are suitable for puppies, adult dogs, and dogs who are nervous, sensitive, or need a slower, more supportive approach.

Classes are already running, and new dogs are very welcome to join.

If your dog struggles with nail trims, ear checks, grooming or vet visits, you are not doing anything wrong.
Most dogs are never taught how to feel safe and confident with handling. They are expected to tolerate it.
Our Cooperative Care classes are already running on Fridays, and they are designed to help dogs learn to willingly participate in their own care, without force or stress.
This is a weekly class, so you can join even if it has already started.
Small groups, calm environment, fear free methods.
Friday sessions in Nursling and Totton.
8 weeks course.
