Just love Smurf, for a Irish horse who isn’t your typical event horse, he pulled it out of the bag yesterday. So happy with his dressage 32.5, then rolled a pole and clear xc round a beefy intermediate xc to finish 5th. Q was a good boy in the novice, rolled one pole and a fab confident round the novice with time to finish 11th. Well done George Howard and thank you again Lizzie Baugh Eventing for all your help. I was one worried mother yesterday.

Proud of George and Q yesterday coming 4th in the under 18’s Novice, 32.5 dressage and double clear with time round a technical novice track. Thank you to all the people at Bradwall who have worked tirelessley on the ground, they made an amazing job.

Q and George today at Elland lodge in the 100 open, it was his first run back after Osberton in May where George parted company. Really happy as he got a new PB in his dressage of 30 then jumped double clear but we ran him slowly to pick up 6.5 time and he finished 8th.

Great few days at Osberton, really proud the way George rode. Q only a young horse but very brave was doing his 3rd novice. Pleased with his dressage of 33, he went green in the international arena to roll three poles, He was flying the xc until fence 13 where the light in trees were not great and he left a leg and george parted company, but luckily they were both ok. Smurf was a super in the 2*s and got his best ever dressage mark at an international of 32.4, just gained to much ground in the triple to roll a pole, but flew round the xc, they made it feel easy . They finished 32nd out of 97 and was 10th in the juniors. We had a lovely evening on Friday night with friends who stayed for the horse trials to celibate my birthday and then on Saturday with friends at the event. Thank you Lizzie Baugh Eventing for all your help and support with Georges training. Over the moon with Q and George today finishing 4th in Q’s first Novice. Double clear round a very educational track with lots of skinnies. We won’t mention his dressage! Very excitable but working in progress!! Big thank you to Lizzie Baugh Eventing for all your help in training and support us. Massive thank you to Faye Wagstaff for all your help and support at event. Sophie Louise Dawson for everything at home, and Jane Sanderson and Sanderson for supporting.

Educational event this weekend, Smurf in his eyes jumped a double clear in the under 18’s novice, but one paper he spooked at something in the distance and shot side ways in the showjumping so George had to circle to get back to the fence. Pleased with his dressage score of 32. Q was very excitable in the dressage but we actually feel he’s getting more contestant in the boards now and he scored some good marks so fingers crossed that will get better the more he does, he then went onto jump a lovely double clear in the BE 100. Thanks to Ed and Faye Wagstaff for helping on Friday and it was Faye’s birthday🎂. It was amazing to see Rua as well and have him stay the night. Thanks to Lizzie Baugh Eventing for all your help with George.

So sad, such an inspirational lady and one of the best coach’s in the world. 😢😢😢😢 

It is with great sadness that Caroline Moore passed away last night. Caroline was an inspirational coach and mentor to so many of us, but above all else she was a wonderful friend, and one who I will never forget. What we achieved together I will be forever proud of. Thank you Caroline, for everything.

First event of the season for Q. What a lovely event, big thank you to all the team at Epworth. Q managed to contain himself in the dressage at got a 32.8 followed by a double clear in the BE 100 section with a few time to finish 8th, so we were really happy with him. It was lovely to have Jane Sanderson and Sandy to support. Thank you to Lizzie Baugh Eventing for you knocking George into shape over winter 🤣.

I have a free Saturday this week now the season has finished with George so I’m available for lessons, set of showjumps on a 60 x 40 school and with the going so good at the moment I have a set of arena eventing fences set out on grass( very sandy ground).
