Summer seems to finally be sticking around for the next wee while at least, what does that mean for walks?

It means they may need to be changed times, shortened or changed to a pop in. We will always notify ahead of time. Older or more flat faced breeds will be moved to an earlier time a lot as they’re most at risk, we don’t have any young pups in our pack to think of, or we’d be cancelling their walks.

If you wish to cancel a walk due to the heat, no cancellation fee will be applied.

We always aim to walk dogs in the shade or bear water in the warmer weather and always ensure there is water available. Our car has all tinted windows and air con will be blasting.

Any concerns just WhatsApp us.

Now we’re away to pop on our factor 50 and make the most of it!

Walks with Pops is four years old today!

Thanks to a clients, doggos, cats past, present and future for the trust you place on us both to love after your furry family members!

This week we have high temperatures expected!

On all walks we will have water available, walk in the shade/near water and rearrange or shorten walks when necessary. If not safe to walk the doggos and a walk is scheduled we will adjust to ensure your dog’s safety is of the utmost priority!

As a result walks may be brought forward or cancelled to meet the needs of your doggos!

We always advise not to walk flat faced breeds, puppies or older dogs in the heat and to cancel walks as they’re most vulnerable and likely to suffer heat stroke.

We will always keep an eye on dogs for signs of heat stroke and advise a vet visit asap if warning signs are present.

Let’s all enjoy the sun with our doggos responsibly.
