Hattie ❤️ a rescue I have groomed with assistance from dog trainer Paw Control’s Katie for the last few years, she had an awful start in life so she can be very difficult to groom but team work makes the dream work! Having the two of us there means no having to go to the vet for her haircuts 🙂

Beautiful Leia came in for a much needed first full groom today having been in for two puppy intro’s previously, it’s so important to introduce pups to a professional grooming environment early to set them up for successful future grooms! Her owner sensibly requested a neat, short cut as her long coat was becoming difficult to maintain, she is now beautifully clean and matt free with her new haircut 🙂 what a sweetie ❤️ x

Tick season has arrived! I found this big guy on top of a dogs head today… check your dogs after every walk! I’m happy to remove them for you if you’re worried, it’s worth buying a tick remover just in case 🙂

• When are ticks most active?

Ticks are usually around from March to October, with a peak in spring and early summer — right when you and your dog are likely out enjoying longer walks.

• Where might your dog pick them up?

Ticks love woodland, long grass, moorland, and even local parks.

• Why does it matter?

Some ticks can carry bacteria that cause Lyme disease and other infections. These can affect both dogs and humans, so it’s worth staying a little vigilant.
