Could you be the one that we are looking for?👀

We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic individual to join our growing team as a Shop Assistant.
Hours/days to be discussed however the ability to work one weekend day is a MUST!

Ideally, we are looking for a keen person who already has a good grasp of all things “animal.” However, training can/will be provided.
This position would suit someone who has a passion for all things equine and animal, with the ability to provide excellent customer service.

The role is primarily within our main store but you may, during busy times, be required to work within the main feed barn. (This requires some heavy lifting, therefore please only apply if you are fit and able to do this.)

The role will include:
- Customer service (the ability to give equine advice would be an advantage)
- Till work using an EPOS system (both cash and card)
- Receiving and displaying goods in (we have numerous deliveries each week)
- Preparing customer orders for delivery
- General housekeeping within the store and barn
- Preparing bagged goods for the store (e.g peanuts, hay etc.)
- Stock rotation and date checking
- Accurate preparation of daily paperwork
- Taking telephone enquiries.

The ability to take initiative and structure in accordance to priority is essential. We are a fast-paced shop and no two days are the same!
The role would be suitable for someone looking for part-time work on a long-term basis as there is a lot to learn in this role.
