Kind reward based training for pet dogs and puppies. Courses include Puppy School, Super Pup, Pupp

Specific courses for puppies aged 12-20 weeks (Puppy School) and Beginners classes for puppies and young dogs who need basic training but are just that little bit too old for Puppy School. Completion of either of these courses (or equivalent) qualifies the dog/puppy for Puppy University, a follow on course to further develop their training. Only kind, reward based methods used, there is no yanking of leads or harsh vocal commands in our classes

🌟 Fun to Focus 🌟

If you have an older puppy or young dog who's head seems to be full of rainbows 🌈 and unicorns 🦄 this course is for you.

This fun course will include games and activities such as parkour, scentwork and a few tricks that will help to bring your dog's attention back to you. As a bonus, this can help improve your recall and loose lead walking which are often the main concerns as your puppy navigates adolescence.

🐾 PUPPY TRAINING 🐾

Have you recently brought home a lovable bundle of mischief (in other words a perfectly normal puppy)?

At Puppy School you and your puppy will learn in a safe environment on a course that is specially designed for vaccinated puppies aged 20 weeks or under (at course start date). Small classes to ensure individual attention.

Six weeks starting Weds 10th June, 6-7pm in Dyserth

We cover all the basics including coming when called, loose lead walking, positions, food manners, polite behaviour with other puppies etc. with an emphasis on kindness and confidence building using reward based training methods.

Course fee is £95 to include your Puppy School manual and booking fee.

Your trainer is Jacki Tinning who is a full member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (no 1389), a registered Animal Training Instructor with the Animal Behaviour and Training Council and of course a fully qualified Puppy School tutor.

Our pets are family but we can't always take them with us if we're staying away from home for some reason.
Finding reliable pet care can be a worry especially when you hear about negative experiences some pet owners (and their pets) have had.
Here are some tips and considerations for arranging pet care while you're away.

🐾 good pet care is booked up well in advance. Short notice can often lead to people taking what they can get

🐾 what type of care is best for your pet? Boarding or care in their own home?

🐾 boarders need to be licensed by the local authority but those who visit or stay in your home don't need to be

🐾 agree on type of care and get it in writing detailing the service to be provided, exercise, meds, food etc.

🐾 check they have the correct insurance

🐾 what qualifications and experience do they have?

🐾 ensure DBS checked if they're coming into your home

🐾 ask carers to give you regular updates such as videos part of your agreement

🐾 ask for recommendations and check them out. Are they genuine clients or friends and family of the person offering the service?

🐾 what contingency plans do they have if they are unable to provide the service for some reason?

✨️Congratulations to Domino and Millie who both graduated from Puppy School in Dyserth on Wednesday night.
This has been a fun six weeks filled with laughs as well as learning. It's been great to see how far these two have progressed 🥰🐾🐾
