Thank you to Val and Katie and their team for a lovely charity show at Brechin show ground yesterday.

Just one on board yesterday, giving West Lodge McNair his first outing of the season. He was rather on his toes and thoroughly enjoyed being out! We were delighted to win our class and take the M&M Championship.

We hope you raised a fantastic total for such a worthwhile cause.

We were honoured to receive the Heidi Award for fundraising at the recent Equine Grass Sickness Fund Conference.

Having experienced the heart break and devastation the disease causes, we have done all that we can to support the funds work through fundraising and raising awareness of their work over the years. Most recently this has been through the Crathes Charity Horse & Dog Show but has also included ride-outs, organising a stand at Banchory Show, party nights in Banchory and at the Royal Highland Show.

Thank you to everyone who has supported our fundraising over the years and we hope to raise as much as possible again at this year's show in May!

Representatives from the show were honoured to attend the Equine Grass Sickness Fund's recent seminar.

The driving force behind the show, Robin and Karen Stewart, were delighted to be presented with the Heidi Award in recognition of their long-standing support of the charity.

The award celebrates not only the £22,000+ raised by the show to date, but also many years of dedicated fundraising — from party nights in Banchory and at the Royal Highland Show to ride-outs and everything in between!

Thank you to each and every one of you who has supported this fundraising!

A truly well-deserved recognition of their commitment to supporting the vital research carried out by the Fund, in memory of the horses and ponies lost far too soon.

A belated Happy New Year to everyone. This winter blast in the north-east has fairly taken us all by surprise … and with more in the forecast.

We hope everyone is keeping safe and coping with the endless tasks of trudging through the snow feeding and checking on animals.

Wishing family, friends, liveries, acquaintances and West Lodge pony owners past and present a relaxing Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year.

2025 seems to have passed in the blink of an eye with much to reflect on over the festivities.

Our thoughts will also be with those who’s Christmas’ will be different to normal and those missing a special person at the Christmas table 🫶🏻.
