🐎 Over 272 horse incidents reported, including 98 injuries and 20 deaths (British Horse Society), with only 10% of cases being reported
🦢 Wild geese showed a 96% increase in heart rate during fireworks; recovery took 5 hours (ARU study)
🐦 Birds abandon nests and collide in panic with thousands of deaths recorded in European firework events
🐼 Roxie the red panda (Edinburgh Zoo, 2024) died from stress linked to fireworks
👂 Fireworks cause 4,500 UK injuries each year, many requiring hospital treatment (BMJ)
🧠 They trigger anxiety and trauma in people with PTSD, autism and sensory issues
🚓 Enforcement fails: by morning, offenders are gone, leaving police and councils powerless

👉 The solution: restrict fireworks to licensed, organised displays only
