About
Canine Coat Specialist health, breed integrity, and skilled handling — particularly for dogs whose coats require experience rather than shortcuts.
With over 20 years of hands-on experience working with giant breeds, double coats, and handstripped coats, my approach is shaped by long-term coat management rather than short-term cosmetic results. I have shown dogs for over two decades, including regular Crufts preparation, and every dog I groom is handled using the same principles applied to show-standard presentation — whether they are shown or not.
I work one-to-one, without crates or dogs waiting, allowing each dog the time and environment they need. Grooming decisions are made with the future condition of the coat in mind, not just how it looks on the day.
I am currently undertaking advanced skin and coat training to further support my work as a Coat Specialist. This formal study underpins what has always been at the heart of my work: understanding how coat, skin, grooming history, and management choices interact over time.
Canine Coat Specialist is not designed to suit every dog or every owner. It is for those who value correct coat care, thoughtful handling, and experience-led grooming — particularly for larger breeds, complex coats, and dogs where coat quality truly matters.
