This seriously needs to stop. It's been a massive part of why I won't pay any money to these corrupt clowncils for a licence to home board. I choose not to support the spraying of known cancer causing contents. All over the very places we walk our dogs and children. Run down swing parks that have recently been sprayed too. If you are a owner of a dog or cat. Keep them away from where they're been spraying.
I've heard from two friends about their dogs that is suffering ill effects.
If you notice anything usual or off seek professional help from a vet. Homeopath .
It effects nervous system too. And can cause change in behaviour. .this is absolutely why I choose a natural path.
🔶 Update - it’s become clear there’s been a lot of poorly dogs out there. We aren’t saying this is definitely the cause but, we are going to have to look at what’s being put out there, when and the risks and compare to ill dogs. I can’t keep up with the messages so what I would really appreciate is that you keep a log of dates, times, locations, symptoms, dates of vets visits, outcomes etc. photos of the area after it’s been sprayed. Weather at the time and after. Wind.
We will start doing some digging and posting we need all this info. Thanks to everyone and sending the biggest of hugs to all the unwell furbabies. 🔶
⚠️ DOG OWNERS IN AYRSHIRE ⚠️
Has your dog become unwell after being walked in an area that has been sprayed by the Council/ARA with herbicide?
We are trying to establish whether there have been similar reports across Ayrshire, as this does raise questions every year.
Our own dog, Phoenix, has been unwell for the past two weeks and has required two vet visits. We contacted East Ayrshire Council, who confirmed that Roundup was the product used in the area. Some of Phoenix’s symptoms are consistent with those reported following exposure to wet w**d spray, but we are not saying this is the cause.
We simply want to find out whether anyone else has experienced anything similar, so that we can establish whether there is any pattern that may warrant further investigation.
If your dog became ill after walking in an area where w**d killer may have been used, please get in touch with us.
Please include:
🐾 Location (park, street, etc.)
🐾 Date and approximate time
🐾 Symptoms your dog experienced
🐾 Whether veterinary treatment was required
🐾 Was there any rain/drizzle
🐾 If possible, photos of any warning signs or the treated area (ours has again sprayed today with no warning or signage).
This is not intended to cause alarm. We are simply gathering information to identify whether there may be any pattern that should be looked into.
