Hi all,

I'm looking to organise a group training session outdoors to include up to 5 dogs and their owners, looking at training needs on a one-to-one basis. The class will involve all five dogs and handlers sitting in a large circle and taking turns within the circle whilst I demonstrate with the individual handlers and their dog how to improve evering from sit, stay, on-lead and off-lead heal work, recall, whistle commands etc.

This will allow participants to both watch and take part in one to one training.

I will be concentrating on this being a fun and participating event where both you and your dog will get lots of enjoyment whilst learning and improving on your skills.

Family members are most welcome and encouraged with no pressure to participate, and can simply watch and learn if they wish.

Date and venue to be confirmed and a nominal charge of around £5 to £10 payable on the day and will either be on a Saturday or Sunday.

All you require is your own seat, (and seats for family if required, your dog, (his/her favourite toy/s), and any refreshments you wish on the day.

Sled dog volunteer to assist with winter training. Looking to train someone who is wishing to learn more about dogs and working dogs in particular. The ideal person will be no more than 9 stone in weight due to weight limits for our dog team whilst training and be physically fit and over the age of 18. Previous knowledge of dogs is essential and desired skills in mountain biking and/or cross country running. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual in the KY12 post code to take part in the Sled Dog Sport and take part in running the dogs as in the pic above after sufficient training. This is simply a voluntary position for evening training during the week and weekends where possible. "FOLLOW" Coby and Lorraine as they emBARK on their one to one training with KYK9. Coby is an eight year old 33kg/3.5 stone boxer who is full of muscle mass and extremely powerful to handle. I am currently working with Lorraine on his issues he has with other dogs and his dominant position he has with Lorraine. He is a lovely dog and just needing to learn to be calm and less reactive to difficult situations. In his first sessions we will be addressing his dominance and starting with the basics of heal work and general control when on the lead and later progressing onto his issues with other dogs and being overly protective of his owner. There are three videos of the first session showing his behaviour prior to training, half way thru and towards the end of training. Hope you enjoy following his progress and see what can be achieved using the soft and gentle techniques I use in training.

Restasured my customer dog walks are only one to four dogs at a time, but this was a real treat this afternoon to hook up with Fiona Reed at Puddledub for a wee GSP party with 3 of my Puddledub Pointers and all her lovely crew. :)
