Beware of this dog (red lab) at Dawson Park.

Approached me and my dogs twice over the last week and attacked. Not just a misunderstanding between two dogs, this dog had specifically targeted two of my male dogs on two separate occasions.

Owner has no care about his dogs behaviour. Not even an apology.

Not one to put up posts like this but on both run ins it has had a go at my dogs, making a B line for us the second time. Managed to catch my skin in the process of pulling the dog of off my dog and putting my son's safety in danger too.

2.5 year old Husky mix, looking for his forever home 🏡

He is chemically castrated & crate trained.

I worked with Oban myself for some time and he is a lovely dog, he has done some scentwork and e-collar foundations.

There are some reactivity issues, yet to be assessed.

Actively allowing dogs to mount and hump one another just screams that you don't have an understanding of dog body language nor do you respect the dogs you walk.

The author claims that if you don't want to see dogs hu***ng one another, then don't follow dog walkers. Not one dog walker I follow posts content of dogs hu***ng one another. Because I follow quality dog walkers who respect dogs, understand dog body language as well as let them be dogs.

Dogs don't need to hump or mount other dogs to "just be dogs".

There is absolutely no benefit to the dogs by allowing this to happen, it will often lead to at least one of the dogs being unhappy. Overall, just unnecessary🤷🏻‍♀️

After a few negative comments on a photo I posted earlier (yes… the one where three dogs were enthusiastically hu***ng each other 🙈😂) it got me thinking about something I once heard someone say…
“That group walks with dog walkers are just a free for all.”
I’m guessing that’s meant to imply dog walkers just let dogs run riot and do whatever they want.
Well… I’ll be honest.
Yes, my walks are a free for all.
🐾 Free to run
🐾 Free to play
🐾 Free to explore
🐾 Free to sniff
🐾 Free to be dogs
The dogs that come out with Go Lea’d aren’t on a training camp. I’m not making them sit in separate corners of the field waiting for a whistle and a command to “break”.
They’re out in nature with their friends, running, sniffing, splashing in the doggy dip and learning how to socialise with other dogs.
Dogs actually learn a lot from each other. They read body language far better than we ever could.
Of course if a dog is getting too much, being overwhelmed, or things start getting out of hand, I step in. That’s my job.
But most of the time?
I let dogs be dogs.
And honestly… a happy muddy dog that’s had a proper run around with friends is far better than a bored dog that’s been marched round on a lead.
So yes… my walks might look like chaos to some people.
But to the dogs?
It’s the best part of their day. 🐾
And if three dogs hu***ng each other offends you… you might want to stay off dog walkers’ pages. 🤣🐾

6 years of business

7 years in the industry

A whole lot of good times

Safe to say my life has changed a lot cover the last 2 years. Falling pregnant and having my son has resulted in some massive changes within my business. Trying to chase your dreams while raising a whole human is hard.

But one thing I'll never do is give up on my passion for dogs. No matter how difficult this chapter may be, I'll always remember how hard I've worked over the years💚

6hr Day Train session
Bring your dog along for a day of structured training and activities tailored to suit your dogs needs. This includes walk and trains, outings, socialisation and confidence building activities, fulfillment games, reactivity work and much more. A pick up/drop off service is offered locally if required, enquires are welcome.

1hr 1-2-1 Session
A one on one training session for you and your dog. During these sessions we will work together to help improve your knowledge and understanding of dog training, handling and where behavioral issues stem from.
